Yes, upgraded soft spots. Rule of thumb, if you have to ask what a sub can handle, run what company RMS the subs at. Not being a dick, just saying. Edit; if you want to run 3k to a sundown sub, get the nsv3. Friend is running a nsv3 12 on 3k and sub loves every bit of the power.

I would personally just run the 2200 to it. 3k plus on that with no upgrades, don't see that sub liking it very much.

just dont short them.. if your trying to play car off then caps are a no go since there are chunks of metal missing from my ratchet because I have touched the (-) while tightening the (+) I am scared of super caps as well x2
