Damn, that's crazy! I was shoving 1500w through a pair of Infinity Kappa Perfect 10's and thought I had a fire in my trunk at one point they were smoking so bad. Too bad I never cut them apart to see what the carnage was or I'd have some pics to share as well.

It's shit like this that got me out of shops in the first place. I had a lady bring in a pile of shit Aerostar with the trans acting up and figured a service would fix it. I told her that often times when its that bad that changing fluid can actually make the problem worse, she said that was fine and go ahead and do it. I wrote on the work order that I had advised the customer of the risk and made her sign directly under that. Later that day she called back yelling about how the trans went out and she had to get the van towed home, she wanted us to pay for the tow, a new trans from another shop since she didn't trust us and a rental car. I just hung up because she was just going off. She sued us and I had to go to court with the owner. We presented our paperwork and she said we added that extra disclaimer after she left. She submitted a photocopy of her receipt and you could clearly see where she put a piece of paper over that then made the copy. Needless to say they sided with us, she was calling us racists and all kinds of shit on the way out of court. People suck and you can't avoid it, I work of forklifts and heavy equipment with none of that BS any longer.

I'm willing to bet he did the on purpose so people will contact him about the price mistake and he can initiate a sale outside eBay. People always looking for a way to not pay the fees.

I got the latest model TV, I know they've been making these for a couple years now. I don't know what the difference was but some people told me don't get anything built before 2010. Mine has a build date of late Oct 2010 so it didn't sit around anywhere.

Yes, my TV uses glasses like all 3D TV's do. There isn't any technology yet that allows them to do without it, you can't even go to the movies without using the glasses. They are two different style's, TV's use an active shutter and theater uses the polarized, the polarized type is too expensive to do on TV's. I went to the store and played with some games on 3D and was utterly unimpressed, seeing GT5 on my TV is a whole different experience! There is a ton of depth and detail, the PS3 does a great job! Socky, that's the exact TV I just got, the Mitsubishi 60" DLP and the picture is awesome. the one big let down for me is the lack of sharpness on small text. I'm actually posting this from my TV right now, its my computer monitor. My old TV was a 60" Sony LCD projection built in 06 and it had a very clean picture on stuff like this. It was only 1080i though and didn't do 3D but it was a higher quality set for sure. I got a great deal when I paid $1800 for it with the stand back then. Even though my old TV was still going strong I wanted 3D bad and couldn't pass up $599 on a brand new TV, I was kinda worried about the Sony failing as well since it was kinda getting to that age where you turn it on one day and the picture tweaks out.

I have prescription glasses and have no issues. I know this isn't for everyone but I'm very happy with the effect and everyone who's come over and seen it really likes it too.

You can't compare the 3D from today to the old stuff, this looks as good as a theater IMO. I got this TV for $599 shipped, I wish I could have gotten the 72 or 82" though. I had a 60" already, just a few years old so I was able to sell that for $400 and cover a good portion of the cost on the new one. I guess some people don't get into it but I'm loving it 100%, its a pain to get everything set up and I've got my computer running off it too so getting the 3D files to play off it was a lot of trial and error.

So a couple weeks ago I snatched up a 60" Mitsubishi DLP TV that does 3D, they had blowout prices right around black friday. I'm blown away by the picture on these things! Even though I had to buy a 3D starter kit and some extra glasses I'm still only into the whole setup for about $1000. Movies kick ass and the 3D Gran Turismo 5 is the best! If anyone is on the fence about upgrading I say do it, the deals are out there right now. I know a lot of people here dump all their extra money into the car audio but I love electronics and try to enhance every aspect of my life, not just when I'm in the car.

I just want to say thanks to Steve for building up a killer website where we can come to learn, show off our build, buy and sell equipment. There's no reason to babysit people, were all adults here and should be able to follow the simple damn rules!

I have a very nice second gen 16GB iPod touch if your interested. Its had a body wrap on it since day one, its also jailbroken so all the free apps you want.

You could just buy a cheap video card with and HDMI output and hook it up that way. I'm posting from my computer right now using my 60" monitor, I actually use this for everything. I run a bluetooth wireless mouse and keyboard and wireless internet. I never thought I'd end up using it this much but now I download and watch everything on it.

I put spacers under my amps so there's like 1/4 to 1/2" air space under it just to help. I had and MTX 81000D that would get really hot running at 1.5 ohms but putting a little air space under seemed to help quite a bit. Mounting it directly to the box, especially with carpet on it can cause it to overheat.

It's like a segway on steroids!! I'd love to have one but would kill myself for sure on it cuz I think stupid things are cool.....

I had one like this a few years ago, got mad if I didn't pay attention to her, everything had to be about her. Honestly, it took me 5 years to finally decide to walk away from that one and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. You need a woman that gives you room to do the things that make you happy, just make sure you split your time with her as well. If this is an ongoing thing, seriously, walk away.
