most of the time it doesnt "sound better" porting into the cabin, when you face it back it usually loads off the trunk giving you a lower tone sound

yea in my truck, ours would never go below 17v...truck ran ok with it like that but you dont ever feel good about running something you know is wrong. It got sent back and we are waiting on her to come back to us when they get time. The sierra/silverado is a 2002 and it doesnt like 18v lol -

going over 16v in a car is honestly kind of a no brainer that things can and will go wrong if you have any electronics of the vehicle hooked up to it. -

shame shame shame...should be using a LC1 School me on why one use the LC1 over bass knob most bass knobs are gain adjustments or bass enhancers. an lc1 cuts signal through the rca so that you arent introducing anything to the mix. your taking away up to 100 percent of the bass by turning the knob down. Of course you set the amp with that knob all the way up though. I wasnt fond of the LC1. I found that even when i turned the knob all the way down it still let a fair amount of bass through. I use a BC-101 basically the same thing. It does have another knob tho, I have yet to completly figure out what exactly its supposed to do. its adjustable from 40-150Hz. But yeah when setting your amps, make sure the knob is all the way open that way you have more control over the amount of signal you let through. This is an excellent point! Also something that I will include in the revised production owner's manual. If the customer's primary source is an iPhone, iPod, ect, the tracks from the CD should be ripped to the iPod at the highest bit rate possible, and then use that as the source for all testing. Also, very important, iTunes "Sound Check" HAS TO BE TURNED OFF during this process. If not the iTunes software will adjust the level of the tracks and mess you up. This is very true. I say set your gains according to the way you listen to most music, for example if you listen to CDs more than anything else use a CD to set gains, If Ipod is your thing use that, USB...whatever it is use that source for best results. if you still had bass with it all the way down you did somethign wrong...its a 100 percent cutouf to signal.. or yours was broken.

not really great cars for audio. shape if trunk just prevents alot of options. 1 12 on decent power should do well in it. -
Which would be louder?
