  1. So my friend's head unit was cutting out at high volume. Stock wiring wasn't enough. 10ga power and ground. Yup that did it. Not excessive at all

      like king said, absolutely nothing wrong with using stock wiring for a headunit. Remote is different though, anything more than 2 accesories being ran by the remote and a relay is required IMO

      While it may have fixed the apparent issue. It doesn't address the issue as a whole system. If your power draw is so great, that it chokes out other electrical in the car, then just imagine how the rest of the factory components like the voltage drop. I wouldn't want to chance my CPU and other important and expensive gear with hard voltage drops.
