  1. So if you say the back seat is coming out ... then we are good .... Thanks ... Randal
  2. It was looking AWESOME until I seen this ... I can not stand for someone to lay a sub enclosure on a back seat ... very dangerous if in a accident ... the seat keeps the enclosure from doing its job ... you are loosing ALOT of pressure like this ... If you take out the back seat and bolt that enclosure to the body of the truck ... you will notice a MAJOR difference in the performance of that sub enclosure ...
  3. I would not do this for Sound Quality ... Takes out all of the dynamics and headroom of the amplifier ... I have 5.1 Surround Sound set up in my truck and compete Sound Quality all of the time ... Rear Ambience is very improtant to a true audiophile ... Just as important as front, center, and sub stages ... everything should blend together for one common goal ... Your rears should be installed and tuned to compliment your front stage to help out with stage and image ...
  4. what do you want your port tuning to be ?? hopefully around 28 htz ... do you have components for mids and highs ?? are they amplified ??
  5. yep ... Ive seen ampless cars in SQ comps ... very impressive ....
  6. I would give you 2000 for it if it was closer to me ... but not worth the 1000 dollars in gas to go and get it ...
  7. my 9980 doesn't require nowhere near as much boost as the pioneer I had ... and has cleaner output ... The Kenwood seems to be a more robust unit ... atleast from my Sound Quality standpoint ... Does the system perform the way you want it with the gains set to the DD1 ???
  8. Awesome ... Please make your way to the Linear Power / Blues Car Audio booth !!! I have a SQ demo with your name on it !!!
  9. not sure ... I have a company phone and I never see a bill or get complaints unless I go over ... and thats never happened in the 8 years with the same phone number ...
  10. ok ... Amp should be no problem ... anytime you go lower on ohm loads, you create distortion ... the DD1 is only going to tell you to lower your gains to cover up the distortion so you will be back to square one anyways ... So you have a 4 ohm passive component set ... correct ?? how exactly do you plan to make the "Passive" component set drop to 2 ohms ?? possibly change the metrics of the crossover, or replace the crossover (if you can find one) ... If you go active, you will need to replace your drivers so they will have a 2 ohm load ... and ... are you sure you have 4 ohm tweeters anyways ?? might want to check that ... I'm only trying to help ... I'm a Sound Quality guy that is also a Broadband electronics technician ... so you can guess how many numbers are running through my head to add this equasion up ...
  11. Yep, I'm hoping he decides to get a vid on my "White Lightning" too ... That would be Awesome for me ...
  12. Links to view the specs of your equipment would help ... I've never been one to use Rockfords ao even 5 channel amps .... All 2 channel class AB amps for me ... Yes ... droping ohm loads will lose some Sound Quality, get louder, produce more distortion, and if your amp can hold it safely ... will put more stress on the amp ... especially if the 5th channel is pushing sub duty ... My suggestion would be to run a 4 channel and a separate sub amp ...
  13. Got something new loaded up on the old truck today ... pic loaded up as soon as possible ...
  14. I will be there to Demo products for Team Linear Power and Blues Car Audio ... Sound Quality ... I will also be there to demo LED products for Hyper Automotive LEDs ... and Sound Deadning products for Audio Technix ...
