If I read that right and if all 4 are in a common chamber enclosure and you only have 1 good one left of the 4 you should really recone all of them at the same time. This way all parts will be equally in compliance with others such as all having new stiff spiders, all have 4 identical reading coils. Chances are that if 3 are bad, and 1 is good, that 1 good one maybe ready to kick the bucket soon and your stuck with 3 good woofers and 1 bad woofer. Its just best to make all new like again.

Put $50 in the hoes tank, drove for about 40 minutes hammering on the tiny 3inch coils of the 5year old BTLs that have a 5kwrms amp per sub. Got a little warm and stinky but still playing as if they are new and now my gas tank is on E again...

Yup Im a moran! Name calling shows how your level of majority. I even said in my first reply that chances are the person lied to you, and you said No. So if the person didnt lie to you, then the only option left is accusing Steve of selling used products as new apparently. Your no different than the guy that made a unboxing review of the dd-1 paused the video to remove the screws and then claim it had no screws holding it together while making childish remarks through out the video.

So your saying its fishy yourself............ But chances are you got lied too, or it was a miss placed unit on the shelf that was just found. Chances of you buying a "new" unit that was "never used" from 2012 is slim. Unless the person bought it 3 years ago and never used it. There is nothing peculiar about it, besides the fact that it seems like you are trying to slam Steve for selling used units as new due to the date when in fact it could of been a unit 3 years old, or the other person could have bought a used or refurbished unit, but apparently the person you bought it from didnt lie to you, so it must be Steve right....

The unit that the guy bought than sold to the OP could of been a refurbished unit, but he wasn't told that, the unit also could of been bought years ago and never or lightly used. Being that it came from a 2nd party those possibilities are endless. The unit could have been sitting back on a shelf in Steves storage racks and placed in the wrong section and it wasnt noticed until the box was grabbed to be shipped out to a customer that ordered say a IMSG or a CC-1 and then realized it was a DD-1 before shipping and got put back in the correct place. Usually only some of the first units where signed that came from Steve or his store himself, I dont think he continues to sign them no more like he use to sign each one, but will sign if asked too. It could of been sitting miss placed on one of the many SMD products retailers shelf's Since all the meters come in the same style, color box with only a little sticker to tell the difference it is easily possible that the unit was stocked in the wrong place for a long period of time and not noticed until a company that bought 1000 dd-1s, and 1000 cc-1s and 1000 im-sgs never noticed until they finally grabbed that specific box. But chances of it coming from a retailer are slimmer since those units normally didnt get signed unless Steve to product off his own shelves to fill an order for a retailer which also was not uncommon. So no a signature dating back to 2012 doesnt mean its an old unit, It could be new found stock. I instantly smell fishiness due to the fact that one of your own threads was WTB Reconditioned-BStock-Returned-Used DD-1. I get the feeling that the product or Steve is trying to be slandered over a product that you yourself didnt even buy new and got second hand (new in box or not unless you where there when the original owner purchased the unit (which Im sure you where....) there is no real way to tell)... So chances are if it was signed in 2012, it was bought in 2012 and whoever you bought it from lied to you.

Drive ability with mechman
audiofanaticz replied to load350z's topic in MechMan Alternators and 12v Accessories
This issue can be from a few things. That almost sounds to me like a belt slip issue on your current alternator. The belt could be old, and stretched allowing for belt slip. The Idler pulley could be going weak and not keeping proper tension on the belt. The belt wrap around the pulley may not be sufficient which could also cause belt slip (especially if the alternator has a tiny under drive pulley on it). It could also be due to an insanely small under drive pulley on the alternator if its only happening at higher engine RPMs, which with the under drive pulley its making the alternator spin to fast so its out of its operating range. There shouldn't be this issue with any quality high output alternator in my opinion. -
X series v2
audiofanaticz replied to Markous's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
The first X-10 v.2 has been built for EMF. I see they have two others on order -- and I don't know whom they each belong to. But I posted pics of the first one yesterday -- looks mean : https://www.facebook.com/sundownusa/photos/pcb.822353804486759/822353644486775/?type=1&theater https://www.facebook.com/sundownusa/photos/pcb.822353804486759/822353767820096/?type=1&theater Any ideas when more v2 10s will be sent to EMF? I am pretty sure EMF is just a dealer and has products drop shipped directly from Sundown HQ to the customer when an order is placed. -

Think it was something like 22 Image Dynamics in a walled Blazer with a clam shell. First sub was a Jensen 10inch in a tube from walmart for $80ish. Oddly enough this is the same model, its amazing how google images can take you back I had it hooked up to something like this, I cant remember the brand no more, but I know it had a microphone though, but it wasnt for karaoke. The next pair of woofers where some Pioneer 400 watt subs with the ohm logo and said pioneer or 400 watts in blue letters. I only got them because a neigbor gave me a old Q-logic bandpass box. These went in my moms aerostar with a old Orion cobalt 4030 or 3040 4channel amp that was beat to hell and back Edit: Took a while to find the exact model looking pioneers that I had These are the 2 12s I had And this was the q-logic box my neighbor gave me, along with a Pyrmid 15inch sub that had a clear cone but the tinsels where broken (first sub I ever fixed).

I would have to say vinyl myself because my parents at the time had 4 AAL 15inch cabinets and my mom loved her Pink Floyd. I seem to remember always trying to scratch on a pioneer turntable and getting whooped because I scratched the hell out of a SGT Peppers record, think I was around 12 or 13. I later was giving a Sansui stereo for my room for christmas so Id leave their stuff alone. From there it got out of hand, I remember turning my closet into a dj booth and getting lighting effects. LOL
