  1. are all the holes in the molex taken up by wires? I ran into this problem twice, but the molex was rather big and I was able to carefully drill a small hole nowhere near the existing wires through the molex to run my wires through. other than that, you can buy a set of many different size grommets at home depot. as long as you run the lines the exact same way the stock ones run, it shouldn't be a problem. just make sure theres no way for them to be pinched.
  2. agree with very impractical....but if you have the time/money/patience to do it, more power to ya. especially if it was owner-built.
  3. sucks they dont have any of the S-series for sale. My D2400 is shitting on me under the hood and I need a new one....
  4. ^this man...although, it makes me think there is another woofer on the port side haha. good stuff man
  5. sounds like the rhyme is good...but just too monotone...his voice bothers me. and 3rd vid down is straight out of red hot chili peppers "by the way"
  6. did you try calling them? edit: checked the site and didnt realize there number isnt posted. maybe someone has there number...
  7. honestly, I really dont think a shop would charge 300 bucks just in labor for a trunk....maybe a shop that really wanted to rip someone off...this also would depend on whether or not your just using deadening mat, or going with the whole 9 (foaming and such) if your using the term friend loosely, like you said, 40 bucks and some beer sounds good to me.
  8. both of those don't look bad. you could go adjustable but they always looked/ Ive heard there a pain in the ass.
  9. If i bought a set of megan springs from eBay would that be alright? I know they have some in my price range. Ive never heard anything bad about Megan so you should be fine
  10. theres alot of factors to suspension....havent done alot of installs, but Ive done alot of research. the only thing in your price range is lowering springs. some people say 2" is the limit of how much you can lower before you need an aftermarket camber kit, or else your tires will not like you so much. Also something to look out for, depending on your shocks/struts, they might not like the lowering springs either since they are stock replacements and not made to be compressed more than your stock springs allow. personally Im going with bilstein sport shocks cuz they are made for lowering springs and a set of Tanabe GF210s springs. but If I were you, Id either hold out and get some shocks too, or get some good springs like Eibach, Megan racing, Tanabe, Tein, etc. none of that ebay generic shit. but the above things I have found over time, researching the subject; so don't take it as 100% fact. every car has different equipment...hey, maybe your shocks will be fine with lowering springs. and 1.5" really isnt that much. just remember to get an alignment after they settle.
  11. I searfcedh for this thread....and wasc very disgruntledc to find it from march 31st...SERIOUSLYG??? COMME ONNN>!!!
  12. I believe they are owned/run by the same main warehouse. but recently, I ordered a cat converter from parts train. they shipped it fast but it got within 10 minutes of my place, and didnt have my apartment number on the shipping label so it was sent back out to las vegas got me real heated cuz I had an appointment to get it installed. after talking to them about a refund, they wouldnt give me one until they got the part back; I understand that they want there part back, but as good faith and showing some consideration of the fact that they were in the wrong, they could have refunded it a bit early. so I guess you can take it or leave it, but I would double check with them that they have your correct address first
  13. will only work for small dings and every so often larger dent that JUST formed....metal has memory. it will stay that way, so I wouldn't try it to a pre-existing dent....and when metal dents, most of the time it expands which causes it to never be able to just "pop" back into place. the method is working on the theory of expansion and contraction, but alot of times, the metal just expands too much
  14. I was real happy with Excessive for my 200 amp...but I believe he told me thats as high as mine can go in the same case. something to think about if the teg uses the same case as the prelude, but you probably were going to get a bigger case for the 320
  15. the only thing keeping me up now is that I got my new sub today
  16. this I should do....if he wasn't a friend of mine for the past 15 years I probably would....still might....
  17. just a vent thread.... Ive been ordering parts for my exhaust to get fixed over the past couple weeks. only had the Cat left to buy, and I was supposed to get it today. I made an appointment on friday to get it installed and took the time off from work to get it done. now I normally never base my appointments on shippers, but the part was already in my town when I made it. my roommate hasn't been receiving packages because the mailman wants our names on the inside of the mailbox. my roommates name isnt there, so he sends all his packages back where they came from. my roommate decided today would be the day to change that, wrote him a letter and stuck it in the mailbox. the mailman got pissed. and since the label on MY package didnt have an apartment number, he was pissed enough to get it sent back to california. (you may think its not the case, but I get an abundance of packages and they definitely know me by now) I got fucked cuz my roommate decided to do this. not only that but I can't get a refund from parts train till they get the cat back. my car is running like shit and I need that cat by friday, so the only thing I can do is ask the muffler shop to find one for me, and pay out the ass for it. =@ /rant
  18. just was typing the same. I don't know what the benefits are, but I know this site has helped me out countless times
  19. is it possible? maybe, but Im trying to comprehend how self-centered you would have to be to fully believe something like that....
  20. that looks pretty freakin' sweet....but, how do you get back up without sliding down? ^do want....and for the very small fee of 100K, I could get one
  21. hahaha Im switching from Knu to monster P400 series.....reason? cheapest COPPER wire Ive found that doesnt undercut the strand count. I ran Knu's KLMX (which is CCA).....no complaints, but I wanted to run copper wire this time and see how it compares. that deal on amazon is most likely Audio Savings. good stuff and pretty fast shipping, at least for me.
