  1. see thats what I assumed, but they have 165 reviews on the site and a lot of them are 4-5 outta 5. i dont know for 100 bucks I may just pick one up and return it if I don't like it. they have a 90 day return policy anyway
  2. wondering if anyone has experience with one, and if they are worth it. Just looking to use it for body work (non-structural) to replace some rusted out panels like 20 gauge sheetmetal and such, but Ive only had experience with MIG/TIG with shielding gas. harbor freight has 2 little 90 amps for only 100 bucks each, and I don't feel like dropping at least a couple hundred on a 130+ amp if Im not gonna get a lot of use out of it.
  3. Id save some trouble and get these man..... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_36275_Xscorpion-ANL2010P.html
  4. yeah thats excessive..... depending on the equipment you plan on running, iirc, 1/4" thick was damn strong.
  5. how is it mounted? some of them have slotted holes in the rear deck so you may be able to move it back away from the glass a little....if not, possibly widen the holes yourself.....this is assuming it bolts down
  6. boxes look pretty sick man. question though, did you use anything to adhere the plexi to the wood besides screws? only reason I ask is because I assume it isn't 3/4" plexi in which case it may flex causing cracks to form around the screw holes.
  7. why couldnt you just make the ports smaller? as in adding sheets of MDF to the width and then add sheets to the L side of the port to make it consistant.... edit: in order to do this, you may have to play with numbers a little, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
  8. the eraser wheel is made by 3M and is called a stripe off wheel.....best thing you can use to not hurt the paint, but it is a little pricey. like other said, a nearby bodyshop should have one.
  9. jesus man! what do you plan on running? 3/4" for glass is pretty damn thick and gonna get expensive
  10. Holy hell. we get that part already. The question is can a single xp battery be used as the only battery for starting purposes? We are not putting them under the hood! Omfg dude! What the hell do batteries under the hood do???!!! Clue- THEY START THE FUCKING CAR! Do you have something against a regular batt for starting the car? damn chill out man, not even your thread lookin forward to this, March sounds good; hopefully I can grab a couple of these with ma taxes
  11. not really that MDF can take more of a beating.....but if you have a decent sized flat section (such as the base you described) its just easier to use instead of wasting more money/time on building it out of glass. edit: damn double ninja.....way too long to post buzzed....
  12. nah just saw it on the nbc news.....they say her death is unknown.....how much you wanna bet its drug related?
  13. hell yeah!!! looks just like their acura concept from a couple years ago.
  14. probably obsidian, DC, or Fi but like I said before, it depends on airspace, and how much you want to spend. more power/less power doesn't much matter as long as you have the right airspace and sub. sounds like you should do more research instead of asking for a handout and copying another system.
  15. depends on airspace and how much you want to spend. wouldn't be that difficult to do
  16. putting in an amp? run all new wires. as for the doors, run it through the stock rubber boot...a lot of guys use a wire hanger bent at the end, or a snake. wrap the wire your running around it with electrical tape and slowly work it through. However, it is different if you have a molex through the door. good part is, if you install a new headunit, all you have to hook up is power wires and RCAs to the highs amp.
  17. little more difficult to manage....2/0 would need a reducer to fit 1/0 terminals, you would need ring terminals you'd pretty much have to order, it may not be as flexible as 1/0 but it would work just fine
  18. there is also shuriken which are usually less expensive than XS. I may use them in my next build if I can't catch the XS group buy
  19. are the dimensions you gave dipping into a spare tire area? edit: if they aren't I would definitely consider it. always could try out glassing
  20. haha, I said the exact same thing in the random pic thread... think its another failure for dodge trying to bring back they're muscle cars...only one that is halfway decent is the challenger....
  21. cheapest, stretchiest stuff you can find. I went to walmart and bought a bunch of there cheapest fabric.
  22. ^^^especially if your street racing with it .... nice but they're just so damn small....
