  1. Sorry for the thread jack, but what makes it better to have higher pre out voltage? I've always wondered but never have found out.
  2. Yea I just got a 2003 chevy Tahoe fully loaded with the 5.3L, all leather, 3rd row seat, 4x4, with brand new bf goodrich tires for $9000. The exact one I got on Kelly bluebook is right around $11,500 so the deals are out there, you just gotta look around.
  3. Nice! I love rangers, I had a 94' that laid out on 20"s I also had a blow through with (4) 12"s in it. Too bad they were shitty speakers lol. You have any plans on lowering or bagging yours?
  4. By all means go for it, just make sure your confident in your abilitys. There are plenty of guys here willing to help with enclosure designs.
  5. Are you going to be doing all of the install yourself? If you are then make sure you do alot of research here in the forums to understand what it takes to make a system like that happen. It isn't hard, just alot of things that go into making it right, otherwise your gonna spend alot more in replacing things and redoing things.
  6. If you only got like 10 cubes you might wann think about runnin 15s. Cause after displacements with the 18 your not gonna be at 10 cubes anymore and I think that's a bit small for the 18s Edit- just looked at the FI website and it says recommended ported enclosure for the btl n2 is 4.5-8 cu ft. So you may be alright afterall
  7. For a BTL, your looking at about 480 fully loaded and I don't think that covers shipping. An AQ 3500.1d goes for about 800 I believe and that's a decent amp to power the BTLs.
  8. Hey as long as the customer is happy, thats what counts! but I would have to agree that it does look just "placed" there. Im a big fan of flush mount speakers.
  9. And plus, how do you know that the previous owner didnt send a clipped sgnal to them subs? Im always affraid to buy used speakers off CL you just never know. edit-what are you trying to improve on? sound quality? loudness? there may be a good reason to trade, but if your looking to "hit hard" I think the DC's will be better for that, assuming they are in the right enclosure.
  10. What a noob... 30k isnt anuff. 10s cant excurt like 15s can and they dont cjange box size like 15s do. Get one 15 and 64,900 watts to each coil and your good. But only if you tune to 30hz.
  11. Yea I know it's the junk drawer, I knew what you were getting at with you OP I just had to give you a hard time cause it was worded a lil funny But yea YouTube is full of idiots, they see Steve's vids and well...
  12. Nice! Those black wheels are gonna set it off for sure! Can't wait to see what's next.
  13. For me, that would be the determining factor. I wouldn't want to move somewhere that I could not drive. Especially when I have two jobs. That makes life pretty tough.
  14. This is gonna be my first RC in a long time, and the Emaxx is a little spendy.. So If I get something a little cheaper just to see if Im into it, and actually do like it, Ill probably get that or the 1/8 Revo How much are the new e-maxx'es? I've been out of the hobby for a few years. But yea I get ya on the getting your feet wet again, it can get expensive fast when your starting out.
  15. I'm partial to the new e-maxx it's a solid truck with a billion upgrade parts and accessories. The e-revo 1/16 seems like it may be a lil small but not sure what your tastes are. I know I'd go for the e-maxx for sure.
  16. Here's another link to YouTube of the vid, but this one has no sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9px0Qg6CBBs&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  17. Uh oh, looks like it's not on twistedchild420's YouTube page anymore. I wonder if YouTube made him pull it?
  18. Oh and another thing, its common sense but if your a noob it's easy to overlook. Any time you pass a wire through the fire wall, make sure you use a rubber grommet to protect the wire from getting damaged and shorting on the metal.
  19. Yea it is a one trick pony, but it's how well it does that one trick. It is super easy to setup and use, it's easy to read it does all that at a fraction of the cost of an Oscope. It will pay for itself the first time you use it cause you won't be replacing blown equipment when your gains are set correctly.
