  2. me too like i said though, i hope its good - you never know what kinda a dork you are gonna look like until its too late haha... Lol I feel ya, couldn't be THAT bad though lol
  3. My favorite build you did was the hoopty cause it really showed how much work went into doing a big build right. So I am really excited to see this build unfold.
  4. On iPad, you should be able to screenshot by pressing the lock screen and home buttons at the same time. Then upload to photobucket then copy/paste the image code here.
  5. My first 150+ was Rusty's dc audio van. His van does like 159@ 33hz or something like that. Straight blew my mind! Before that, the loudest I had heard was a 145ish.
  6. Probobly have to have the threads tapped out, maybe even to a little bit bigger size. Then it will be easy to find the right size screw.
  7. Wasn't there an event in Glendora? Or was it glendale? Edit- Nevermind, I just realize that was the alpine hq show. I'm a derp
  8. Very nice craftsmanship on that box! Too bad it didn't get loud though. At least you know what doesn't work now Tuned in for the new box build
  9. I'd fuse to just a little under what the wire is rated for. Remember your fusing to keep the wire from catching fire if it gets overloaded from a short, not to protect any equipment. So
  10. This Unless your planing on adding a second battery, I wouldn't bother with a second fuse in the back. But I would still fuse the alt to battery if you can. The diagram looks good otherwise. Edit- Just looked at the diagram again, and forgot to mention that the fuse ratings should be based on the wires rating. So if you put a 4awg wire going from the dist block then anything over 120a fuse is not going to protect the wire. That is assuming the wire is OFC.
  11. no, SERIES. well, something isnt right. what is your ohm reading per coil? series should increase the resistance not lower it. All 4 VC measure ~4.4 ohms. I am using 10 ga speakerwire that has .5 ohm resistance when measured. I wonder if that extra ohmage is from the wire?? nah you can wire negative to negative, positive to positive: http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2-DVC-4-ohm-mono-low-imp.jpg series: 1 ohm. That's wiring in parallel, not series. You might be seeing the resistance in the leads of the multimeter. Touch the leads together and see what it reads...if it reads about .5 then that's where the extra .5 is coming from, and means your actual load is only 1 ohm, not 1.5.
  12. I was just gonna comment on how easy it comes unplugged I had the same problem with mine lol.
  13. Generally anytime your wire decreases in size you need to put a fuse rated for the smaller wire at the dist block. With it only being a foot it might be ok, but if it were me I would fuse it. To be honest, I wouldn't even bother with a dist block and 4 gauge, I would just trim the wires to fit, or get an adapter like the others have suggested.
  14. I rear ended a ford explorer at like 10 mph on the freeway (stop and go traffic) and a few weeks later I got served lawsuit papers. They tried suing me for $280,000 total! My insurance company went to court for me (Allstate) and they only ended up with a total of $8000 and about $3900 of that was to fix the car.
  15. The thing that pisses me off the most is I heard this guy wasn't even injured or anything. What a scumbag for trying to leech off of such a terrible tragedy.
  16. watching my avatar with sparkn rangers right below mine is fuckin hilarious when they sync up.. lol thanks for the compliment Hahaha that's funny!
