Good gas mileage but good luck if your rear bearings go, they're expensive as shit to replace. Also, if you plan on having some weight in the back of that I would start looking into helper springs or bags or something. My mom had one and groceries would make the back of hers drop. Driving on the highway though, car rides like your on a cloud.

That's how I read it and if so, take the fuse out, check resistance, and then put it back in if it's good and make sure the connections are TIGHT. I had a nut loosen up on my amp + input, caused my voltage to look like it was sitting in the 12's/13's when it was actually sitting higher. Normally heat would come with a situation like that, in my case it did and the bolt was hot to the touch, and I would think if you're seeing it drop that much, the fuse holder would melt. Like said, check the fuse to make sure it's good, then check the connections on that fuse holder. Seems like the only two possible problems in that short of a distance.

I'll try to explain, but if someone else finds some problems with this please correct me, it's been a couple of years since I studied this. MOSFETS and Transistors have a set rail voltage they need to operate within. In our case, that voltage ranges roughly from 12-18V. So basically, when in that range, the signal is amplified and sent out to the load(subs). When you lower the rail voltage below the specified operating voltage, the components still try to amplify your signal at that same voltage. Since it cannot achieve that gain due to rail voltage, this causes more current draw, which in turn causes the components to grow hot, and :poof: you just met the magic dragon.

I used 8 awg on my m1 level 4's w/level 5 soft parts. I was only putting one piece of 8 per terminal though. You could also just trim the wire down, or since you're looking at level 3's depending on how much power you're gonna be running, just use 12 AWG.
