When you do the stock, do it right and put a good 4 layers of poly on it and make sure it cures for a good 24 in a controlled room like your basement or something. I built a stool from steel and used white ash for the top and I think I used 3 coats of stain and 4 or 5 layers of poly on it and the top looks as smooth as glass now

IDK anymore man, Fluke is supposed to be top shelf and My dad still has his from 20+ years ago and it works like a champ still to this day. A guy I work with bought a brand new Fluke this summer and again, brand new out of the package, the leads were reading 0.3 ohms. Maybe he just got a bad unit (we were in Pheonix AZ when he got it. Can't really take it back lol) My Klein CL2000 and Gardener Bender have taken a beating since I've gotten them and both of them still read 0.0 ohms

Ok good. I tore apart a power acoustic that was insta-protect on power up and there was the bare minimum on that thing. Fixed it up put new paste on and let my buddy hook it up. Didn't watch cuz I thought he knew what he was doing and loaded one channel with 1 ohm. Smoked in less than 5 minutes.

Did you guys make sure to use that white paste/goop stuff on the MOSFETs when you put it back together and mounted it back to the heatsink? I know its expensive but can't for the life of me remember what its called.

She's going to be getting my old equipment with a few exceptions. Then we'll see what happens. I figure it'll go one of 3 ways: 1)She hates it and I have to pull everything, 2) she loves it and I plan on always being broke due to upgrades to both our cars, and hopefully 3) she likes it and leaves it alone for a while.

This was with a different phone, but fuck that, they do the same shit with my wife and we told them we did a system restore on the first one she had because they were convinced it was an app. Nothing changed, so we made them replace the phone (it was within the first 14 days of her having it). a couple months later she starts having problems with her phone again out of the blue, no new apps, no app updates, we went in to tell them she needs a new phone, not another of the same kind, and they started acting a little shitty at first but they could tell I was not going to accept a refurb, so they cut us a deal for her to upgrade only 6 months into her contract for a new phone at contract cost as long as she got the accessory pack. just go in there and give them shit about it since it's clearly NOT working right and you'll get a replacement. First time I did it I found it pretty easy to do over the phone.
