Why add extra batteries??
jmilch replied to Mad_Mike's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Although you may have a HO alt, you don't have the long term amperage needed to keep up with a nice amp. The bay of batteries or extra battery hold and serve out amperage and voltage as needed. Remember your amp output fluctuates on both voltage and amperage. Keeper amperage Ah available as well as voltage mean a higher output from the amp. -
You upload speed is terrible thats part of the slow feeling. They are built ok, but don't buy into the hype. Ive run a computer repair business for almost 7 years, and believe me I have fixed my fair share of mac's.. For people who think mac's dont get viruses, your very wrong. And as far as built more tough... debatable... My HP Probook has better specs, an all aluminum chassis, has taken more abuse and is a true workhorse for.... well half the price of my mac pro..

I only use mac's for design. They do run a bit slower to a similar spec'd pc

I think he is looking for some midbass... and these would provide very clean midbass if properly crossed over.

Hey Dustin I lost your number when I recently got a new phone, and your inbox if full here. If you get a chance send me a PM. Thanks man -Justin -
If the car is running, the alt is charging. Why do you think my ride runs @ 14.5V but its all a 12V based system? Unless you sit and bang with the car off, you are fluctuating voltage, higher than 12v.

jmilch replied to 863hurricane's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
Excellent subs, but the price has risen. Same on the amps... -

Sorry it sucks. I love Zelda, and I am old enough to remember the original. But I cannot for the life of my begin to like anything dubset. Purely retarted music. OK I lied, that second link was the shit. Downloading it now!

Jumping up. HAve it listed locally also. Great sub just needs someone to take some time with it. -
My dad bought some OS Soundstream Granite Pro 8" subs from me. He also bought a Eclipse EA3422 Amp from me. They went together nice. So he came by and asked me to build a setup for him. He wanted more bass, but he wanted more of a mid bass driver system. "No thumping crap" but "good sounding, extra low end my 6x9's don't produce well". So I designed a box for the back of his jeep, fitting between the rear hatch and the rear seat. The amp is located underneath the back seat. Each sub gets .75 ft^3 after displacement, and it is lined with poly. Sealed enclosure. They are getting around 125W @ 2 ohms **As of 8/21/11 the box needs to be stained and sealed. But here it is now, will add pics when stain is done** 3/4" Birch 9 Ply Look at the cuties! Dry Fitting (My dad) Everything fit nice, time to assemble Box being sanded down Box assembled Other side Subs in place (spaced out for a better sound stage, worked perfect) Another Since it's his, I added terminals for ease of use. There is foam on the backside of the terminals Close up Whala For $200 total (Amp, Subs, and wood) it sound absolutely amazing. The eclipse amp was a perfect match for these subs. Problably one of the most fun builds I have done in months. I will post pics when it gets stained, and a vid of it doing it's thang!

Wow i think im going to get them... They just seem so much nicer than the type R in every aspect!!! They are definetly nicer... but you were asking how to save money. Two SA8's in a properly ported and built enclosure will get nice and loud on the same wattage a Type R needs.
