If you get an SK-1500 1 batt in the back would be plenty. These amps aren't super power hungry like most so 2 batts total and big 3 would be plenty to hold voltage

I'll go with a no. I tried to use stinger 8 gauge and it was a nightmare. Stick with 12gauge and you will be just fine
