  1. if you havent bought the subs switch to 2 10's as i have in mine can get PLENTY loud if you get the box right....1 6" inch aero..ill say that much
  2. youre likely to lose some output from having it behind the 2nd row..more cabin area..but it can be done blake hunts is the best example of it being done successfully...but with 4 15's i see no need for a wall in a tahoe.. can get plenty loud with a regular ole street box
  3. that is honestly up to you as far taking an inch from the top and adding some length.. as long that port is loading properly off the side wall wont make much difference.. just make sure youre getting the proper airspace for you subs thats whats key
  4. if you make the box 35 inch long, 14 high, 6 deep at the top and 11 deep at the bottom a single 4 needs to be around 13 inches long but make sure to keep that port around 3-4 inches off of that side wall..this gives you a tuning of around 38 hz which is perfectly fine for this truck..ive had boxes tuned into the 40's in this truck and could still play into the low 30's lol 38 is damn near perfect...anymore questions just lemme know..also your back wall is going to flex like a bitch.. so plenty of sound deadner as well as taking tennis balls and shoving them between your cab and bed will help alot..i know its ghetto but it works lol that or take self taping screws and getting some little 90 degree angle brackets and screw em to the box and then to the back wall...both help
  5. single 4inch aero port firing to the passenger side..build ur box to spec and cut the aero port till its like 4-5 inches from the side wall this design likes to get low from testing in this truck..i have 2 10" aq sd 2.5's onna db drive 2k doing 45's at the headrest.. same vehicle
  6. maybe look into some 8's for behind the seat....and were not trying to be dicks man but that really isnt safe lol
  7. please tell me you dont plan to just stick the box next you on the bench seat? that is highly...HIGHLY dangerous
  8. box rise is the devil...will sweep in and steal your hopes and dream and you have no idea what happened and is unpredictable as hell...what helps some decrease it can do nothing for another...it sucks..unless youre a total numbers chaser like said above..dont worry bout it
  9. with the right enclosure a 150 is fo sure possible walled off in a blazer with ur equipment... typically the best has been subs on the passengers side and port on the drivers side...id try for around a 38hz ish tuning somewhere around 14 cubes net with plenty of port
  10. so i take it youre wiring to .5 ohm? if thats the case honestly youre fine with what youre running as far as power..enclosure is the key
  11. i had my copper coils on 2k and it took it no problem... ive "been told" the alumuninum can handle around 2500-3k easily long as everythings set right
  12. only one way to find out looks solid tho
  13. been there lol lots of ice cream and laying around for a day then youll be back up and going lol at least i was
  14. i need to swap mine out been eye balling the 3400
  15. lets hope it turn out to be more sq than spl congrats on new arrival man
  16. what power and what DC sub?
  17. plug it into torres and play with 6" aeros till you get i where you want it...or post up your dimensions and someone can do it for you..
  18. the only thing i could think of would be try to find some concrete tube (cardboard) and get as close as you can to 5 inches then maybe modify to be 5 inches..then fiberglass the hell out of it... it "might work" or just do it with 4's,6's, or 3's and make i easier
  19. so i only does it that particular frequency? no others? almost sounds like a subsonic or lpf is off or something.. only reason i say this is i had a similar problem and this was the issue
  20. where you peak and where you are tuned can be completely different... that has as much to do with the vehicle as it does the box.... just to clear that up
  21. alpines specs dont say to give the woofers 2.85 square inches of port per cube lol and as far as tuning i like mid 30's for a daily setup
  22. my suggestion? fix your box before you go looking at amps.. you have 50 square inches of port for 8 subs and no idea what its tuned at..theres your problem...then shop for amps just my .02
  23. whats your electrical consist of? or well going to consist of and DC is good stuff cant go wrong with them
  24. whats your budget? hair tricks...are well tricky lol best bet would prolly be 2 15' or 2 18's... or maybe something like 4 12's in a non wall box.. on a decent amount of power
  25. You're welcome. You should see an improvement in your voltage. one suggestion i will make is get 2 different colors for ground and power.. keeps things simpler and easier
