    So I ordered 2 Kinetik batteries from Audiosavings over a month ago.Today i find out they received batteries back 7 days afterthey shipped yet I never was notified and was constantly told to wait 30days for them to arrive.Guess it never crossed their minds to actually check what the fuck was going on with the order.So now I'm without batteries that I needed and still have to wait to receive a damn refund. I'm DONE!!!

      have you called them? They are usually VERY good at taking care of customers, even when mistakes happen.

      Yes sir and was told basically it doesn't matter if they shipped them before,once they get returned they wont even try again.Also contacted them by email more than once.To only receive an email back stating I needed to wait 30 days for them to arrive when they already had the batteries back at their werehouse.Batteries shipped on the 22nd of June and were returned to them on the 29th but i was never notified

    I think what Alpine meant was your box does not make a complete quarter wave until you open the doors. Which will make it louder. This exact same thing happens with the Caprice Pat Stone built. With the trunk down it does a 147 but if you open the trunk it does 150's all day. The sound waves aren't completely forming until we open the trunk is what I was told. So this sounds like the same thing you are experiencing.

    Yeah lately man i have been seeing more people running 15's over 18's. Wish someone would inform me whats better about 15's or 18's.

    I dont think you will fit 6 18's behind the second row seat,15's maybe. If you threw out some dimensions we would know for sure instead of all this maybe or maybe not LoL!!!

    Thanks for the advice. I am definitely going to do the removable port. Would you go with a rectangle port or multiple round/aero ports? Also I will be using about 4k watts, is there anything I need to look out for or be aware of with that much power in a bandpass? The type of port you use really is your preference. I have no experience with aero ports so I couldn't tell you the upside of using them. As for the power, it's just like with a normal ported box. The more power you run over RMS the smaller you want the enclosure for power handling. I'm running a DC 9K on 2 PSI P3 18's and I have no problems with my 2:1 ratio. Again I'm not the expert and every setup is different. So the only way to know what works is to try it and try it again.

    I just built a 4h order and its best to do a removable port so you can play around with the tuning until you find the right tuning for what you are trying to achieve. I thought tuning the ported side higher would result in a higher SPL score but it doesn't. So I would suggest you start out around 45-50hz tuning and go from there. From my testing so far I gained 3db going from a 60hz tuned port(No port plug) to 49hz tuning with the plug in. Now I'm going to try a port tuned around 43hz and see if I still increase. Be patient and do alot of testing to see when and where you gain. My 2 cents

    Be careful because I have read that adding deadner can lower your score also and you can do multiple layers until you get the outcome you want.

    thanks dude, yeah Nick competed but in a different class he just needed some points.... Oh okay cause I saw you had some videos of him and he usually does lightweight bassboxing. He's the one that gave me some tips on building my 4th in my truck. Guess its a reason he's the Champ

    Yeah thata a great piece of advice but y not thrown a idea or two his way give him somewhere to start If you read what the OP wrote then you would know that N8 actually answered his question more than once. Told him that with that box its a 50/50 glassing it. Then when asked about designers told him basically do some research(As we all do on this forum) and build it yourself.Its cheaper and when it sounds bad you learn something and don't have to be mad at someone else and if it comes out good then pat yourself on the back for a job well done. So what part of that wasn't helping?

    Nah I have a PC and it was AAC but Audacity wouldn't read it. I found a converter to change it to MP3. Also did you download it from iTunes because I just checked it and that thing was clipped to shit.Red everywhere.

    Other than checking your connections from the unit and changing the battery I'm out of suggestions if your using the cd it came with. Are you able to make a short video? I know its alot to ask but more people will be able to try and help while you wait on a reply from Steve or Tony
