  1. See what your clamped power is. You may be getting a ton of rise. If you have minimal rise, maybe its time for a slightly bigger box.
  2. 5 on 5 is darker than 2.5% .... 5 on 5 is like 5% of 5% visibility......
  3. Solid score. If you test it again, I'm interested to see what it does outside.
  4. I'd go with cone area over power. 4 18s off 5,000 watts tuned to 30-35 hertz would be a solid setup.
  5. Fs of the sub tends to be in or close to the 30+ hz range. Keep the tuning of the box close to the FS of the sub and it'll perform like it should. I don't know what you're running but your theory would fall on its face with low cone area setups... single 8, single 10.... EDIT: You're running about 216 sq inches of cone ... assuming you have 2 12s. An 18 has about 250 and a 15 has about 180... Your jeep probably has a resonant frequency in the 40 hz range. Tune higher... I'm willing to bet rock on your system is muddy because kick drum is around the 50 hz range. Playing 25+ hz out of tuning isn't going to sound good.
  6. Could be a loose ground in the dash, could be a burnt up ground in the engine bay. Dunno whats up with the grinding noise... but you could be on track with the AC compressor.
  7. You know the answer. Roll out to Cali! Or nevada, wherever you end up!
  8. http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/5202VB/Viper-5701-2-way-alarm--starter-2-remotes-sale.html I have one installed on my car with a glass break sensor. It has a bunch of features. Check it out on youtube.
  9. If you're pullin the box you may as well brace horizontally and vertically. Once the bracing is in, you can always take it out and check to see if it's a gain or a loss.
  10. I didn't have any luck firing it off the rear window, but I have half the cone area you're going to have. Firing it off the rear window made the rear window flex more than the front window, and you already know how much our cars flex. Everything that I've done in this car has not been successful pointed up. I had 15s in the rear seat port and sub facing up and it fell on its face. I had them forward and they were loud. I had 2 12s sealed facing up in the trunk and they weren't as loud as if they were loading off the trunk lid. In addition, unless you have a plan on fitting 10 cubes in the trunk, I just don't see it happening. I've got 4.6 cubes in my trunk, and I don't see 10 cubes being possible with the amount of batteries you want to put in your car, unless you're getting rid of the back seats/ floorboard. Even still, if you can fit 10 cubes in the trunk, .8 of that will be displacement. 9.2/ 4 = 2.3 cubes, which puts you in the same situation as me... not enough airspace for your 15s in a ported box. I'm running M3 15s which are 300 rms, 2.5'' coils... which will be similar to what you plan on running. That being said, I think you'd be much better off trying 3 or 4 12s or 3 15s ported rather than 4 15s in our trunk. You need 13 cubes for 4 15s. That'll give you about 3 cubes per 15. Subs fall on their face without the proper airspace. My next setup will be bandpass, 2 12s... Port facing forward, sealed off from the trunk. 6-7 cubes, if all plans work out 7500 RMS total.
  11. I wasn't expecting numbers like that, but that's pushin some power. Congrats man.
  12. Are you taking the rear seats out? I don't know how you're going to get enough airspace for 2 12s in the Ram QC. Whatever sub you choose, would be better off with the proper airspace.
  13. Yeah man, I got you on the decaf CDs....
  14. I took out my spare tire, jack, lugwrench, and jack wrench.... Anytime I am traveling a distance, I throw the spare in with the jack and everything. I figure if I'm within 10-30 minutes of anywhere, I can hit up a friend... Anything more I may as well bring it.
  15. This thing gets down. It sounds great in person too.
  16. Hahaha. Sick video.
  17. Amazing build. All that damn roof flex and still some awesome numbers. Any plans for a stripper pole? MDF roof? Haha... Road trips and long drives in this truck are gonna be cool as shit. That truck won't even notice the weight that was added.
  18. LMFAO........ She didn't look happy at the end.
  19. Don't put the sub level all the way up.....
