I think MT did a comparison between the ZL1 and a plain Jane gt and said the ZL1 was miles ahead of the stang but that was a gt so might be apples to oranges They were just really impressed with the magnetic ride control or what not but it can't keep up with 200mph! -

My moms co worker got one to replace his 2011 gt500 I'll try to get some pics up hopefully it could be mine someday since he sold his 05 to my mom on the cheap -
The only thing that I have heard about line x is that they did a very poor job by making it a very thin layer and when the person confronted them about it they did nothing and even corporate laughed at him but that might be one bad apple Other than that I would say definently bed line it that'd be nice Check out shaggy's build log on here to see the line x incident that he had Edit: linky---> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/139121-heavy-chevy-18-15s/page__st__120

I don't think that he is looking into specific woofers yet since he hasn't bought his new car, I think he is looking for brands that are (for a lack of a better term) on top of their game now since things have changed since 8 or so years ago The brands listed above is a pretty good summary of some to look into

Does it eliminate box rise since the coil is out of the box or is that just a myth?

Shallow mount
Pro7 replied to kogwanted's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
The general thought on shallows are that they are pretty much trash and that beefy 8s are better i.e. SA 8 v2 or dc lvl2 8" etc. And that should still fit under your seats -

i pretty much get on everyday after school and now probably every morning and night, mostly because there is always something new to learn on here unlike the stupid re runs on tv i really like finding out new stuff on here because its pretty much a whole community full of the most educated people in car audio from around the world -
Other than a cc-1 pretty much the only other way is to guess where 5k is You can look up if anyone near you has a cc-1 on here ----> http://batchgeo.com/map/93b3e7dfd7ea8496a6f1640587e3e4cf
-
Those 'transistors' are most likely bass blockers that are basically a hpf And your question about knowing what frequency the crossover is set at- that's what a cc-1 is for
-
You are gonna have to set it to high pass filter (hpf) and I'm not sure what frequency response those supertweets are supposed to run at but normally like 3-4khz Basically whatever you crossed your mids off at
-
Lmao thats good
