  1. Youtube has crap quality, and Netsky is alright at remixing. Here's a few Jungle, with a sneaky, and really heavy drop http://youtu.be/3yMSLfWKTJc Pendulum's cool, and I played this in my friend's all JL system, it was epic Remix of Sade's No Ordinary Love, with a nice smooth bassline http://youtu.be/LpuB4LXx2eI liquid mix
  2. Starting to like Decaf :)

  3. Yeah, maybe in a high school car show lol. Like I always say, Kickers are a kid's sub, it's usually a lot of people's 1st sub, and they make decent sound until they realize that there are better out there. I never liked the L7, I always thought it was stupid, especially being square shaped, but all the kids at my school drool over wanting to have one, and thinks it's the best sub in the world. Me, thanks to being around smart people on SMD, I have a better idea of what's good.
  4. Well, there are still different styles, and people sometimes do confuse Drum & Bass with Dubstep because they are both from the UK, but Dubstep originated from 2step Garage when people started Dub remixing these songs back in the late 90's. Then as time progressed, it started forming into it's own style when they decided to throw in Jungle(one of the forms of Drum and Bass) in it. Then as time keep progressing it started evolving into something crazier, then it become mainstream in 2010, and now electro is being influenced into it, which is now starting to become a mess and lose all structure, which is called Brostep Drum and Bass on the other hand is different, and actually is influenced by Dub, Reggae, and Hip Hop because it's breakbeat style, heavy basslines, and the good use of the drum machine. Drum and bass is a different, more controlled style of music. I find it easier to listen to than Dubstep because it has a lot more structure to it, and can be mixed with a lot of instruments, and sounds while still keeping integrity. It's also a lot more fast paced than Dubstep also, which is why it's popular in clubs, and racing games. And believe it or not, some people than love Drum and Bass hate Dubstep because they find it too crazy for their taste, or in the past, too slow. If you hear a lot of drum sounds with basslines, and instrumentals in a smooth pattern, that's mostly likely Drum and Bass nowadays.
  5. Since I've seen many other genres here, expect for Drum and Bass (common genre for racing games), I thought I might as well make a topic for it, since I enjoy playing it, so I thought others would like it too, and some of the songs got some really nice basslines. It can range from 80's Ragga, 90's Rave and Jungle, to today's Liquid and Drumstep. Please don't post normal Dubstep/Brostep here, there's a topic for that. DNB Remixes are welcome too Here's a list of subgenres also to add: - Artcore (Gabber/DNB Fusion) - Darkstep (Dark DNB) - Skullstep (Old school, new techology) - Drumfunk (Chopped DNB) - Hardstep (Heavy DNB) - Intelligent ("Ambient") - Jump -Up ( - Liquid Funk/Liquid (House, Jazzy Soul, Funk, R&B, Pop, Synthpop, Disco influenced) - Sambass (Brazilian DNB) - Jazzstep (Jazzy DNB) - Techstep (Tech DNB) - Technoid (Techno/DNB fusion) - Neurofunk (Post techstep) - Drumstep (DNB/Dubstep fusion) and a few more out there. Here's a guide to help identify some of these subgenres:http://techno.org/el...ic-music-guide/ Here's some songs to start out with Liquid Jungle http://youtu.be/yHF5furPFzE Drumstep Rave http://youtu.be/LHGBacQnK6g
  6. Some stock car systems can sound extremely good, just depends on the car, and what sound package you get on them like Jaguar offers a Bowers and Wilkins package on their car.
  7. You can pay RAM Designs like $20ish dollars to design you a box, and have it designed properly.
  8. Idk, test drive each one, and see which one you like better.
  9. Well, here's my advice ,and I hope the best for whatever budget you have. - Do a lot of research, ask a lot of questions, and see if you can get demos on speakers - Check craiglist or your local pawn shop to see if you can find an L7 for a good price since they are extremely common actually (well at least around my area anyways) - Kicker makes 6x8 coaxials to replace the stock speakers - Don't buy prefab boxes, have some one make the box for you, you'll thank yourself later - Door speakers are usually 5.25 or 6.5, but look up the sizes or open up the door panels to see for yourself - The headunit is usually an 80 watt rms 4 channel that will power your door speakers till you decide to get a multichannel amp, and make sure to look for one with a front, rear, and sub input, and the higher the input voltage, the better due to less distortion. - Stay away from entry level Planet Audio or at least anything that only lists max power, if you wanna go budget but good, stick with either MB Quart or Hifonics - Since you want to run an L7, which I'm assuming you'd want to run at least 750 watt rms, invest in doing the big 3 with 0 gauge so your voltage can be stable - Stay away from capacitors, they do nothing good - When installing a power cable, disconnect the negative from the battery so you don't shock yourself, and make sure you put in the fuse for safety so when something bad happens, your car won't go on fire, and the bigger the wire(the more copper it has), the better usually. - Audiopipe, and Knu Concepts have good prices on wires. - If you don't like the rattle on the car, don't use Peel and Seal, that's only for roofs, go with good brands like Audio Technix or Second Skin for example That's all I have to say
  10. HOLY SHIT! O_O That's epic I wish I knew metal fabrication to do that
  11. Friend showed me his zr components, and 2 W7 12's, they sound alright

    1. MrSkippyJ

      MrSkippyJ

what didn't you like about them?

      Omega5002

He had 2 sets of the ZR components powered by an HD 600/4, the midrange has a bit of brightness, but a bit too bright, and the tweeters painful in my opinion, they sound like they are trying to slap my ears.

The W7's(each one powered by an HD 750/1) I can't say much since he hasn't broken them in yet, but they sound clean, from a sealed box facing forward sealed off from the trunk, They make the windshield flex, but I wish he port them since I feel like they are missing that...

deep bass roll off. To me, the w7's aren't worth the $800, to me they are overhyped.

But it's my friend's car, and he's happy with them, so I feel happy for him cause everyone has different tastes.

  12. Damn, ebay only has recones for 8', 10', and 15' and the only 12' recone is for the Punch HE.
  13. What size is it? Cause I'm seeing recone kits for the P2 on ebay ranging from $12 to $22 depending on size.
  14. Thank you Well, I try to have respect for those(btw thank you ) who try to give me advise, especially since they built boxes already, and know what they are doing.
