  1. if you really want to record bass without it sounding crappy your going to need a dynamic microphone and a portable recorder.
  2. camera mic's blow for low frequencies so if your on a budget then that really leaves any camera in your price range? Sorry for not really being that helpful but thats my opinion
  3. Its just one of those things it could work fine but you just don't know if its good enough. I know people who use it but I'm not sold on the idea. Yet anyways!
  4. How much would it save you if you stayed with what you have? and is that amount worth staying with what you got or doing something different? Thats how i see it everything else looks straight
  5. Theres no better way to spend a lunch break then makin a vid of you beatin off in a parking lot. Looks good
  6. HAHA that is funny it looks likek he spent all his money on the ride
  7. If you could find a cheap way to target and boost around 5k to 7.5k Hz you would hear vocals better. You can boost higher than 7.5 it would add sibalance but to much will drive you crazy
  8. That was very helpful i wish i had this video when i was installing my remote starting system
  9. it would be bad ass if you could "CLAP ON" your 1800 watt system.
  10. my computer that i have illustrator on is messed up and for what ever reason i can only save it as a illustrator file or i can save a copy as a PDF Im going to try and re install CS5 and see if that fixes it.
  11. WOW my mom never did anything like that in her van
  12. The reason it sound like your in a box is unwanted freq are bouncing of the walls and going back into the mic causing comb filtering. Anytime you record in any room Comb filtering is always an issue. Foam will help but not fix the issue. You can use an EQ to sweep thru the freq and find unwanted wishy wahy sounds and noises that shouldnt be in what ever you recording. EQ is for correcting what can not be fixed from proper mic placement and other setup issues. Once you get the bad out you can then use the EQ to boost or cut freq for the sound you want. I understand being on a budget is your biggest issue but it is possible to get decent recording out of a closet since many home studios do the very same thing.
