I am glad that I read this. I had people telling me to take my xs power battery out from under the hood. That they need to be inside car only and blah blah blah.... I have the xs d3100 and for a month now it has been under the hood.

Can not wait to get the money saved for it. I am getting the alpha damp. Thinking 20 sheet package will be enough for just my trunk. But, Looks like it did its job on your ride. And for not doing your whole roof and still sounding nice. Like it...

Fixed LMAO at your edit but to respond to 99fullsize I am running Kicker in the truck for a reason believe me I would love to run Sundown DC DD Skar etc but this started as a Kicker build and I must finish as such reason being is because Kicker is the most popular brand at the shop and in the area. Most of the guys that have it sound like ish so I want to do this to show them how it should sound and maybe gain some new clientele in the process. I have to give them what they want to show them what they could have dudes round here ain't trying to hear about anything but Kicker so thats that. Now on a personal note there is something big in the works for the Civic with one of those brands I mentioned before but for now I need to concentrate on the Kicker system in the truck. Anyone else with ideas? Unless they give you free shipping. Just go new. Plus there is less chance of something happening in the mail. I did the discount "deal" And wish I didnt a few years back. I realized that after I got them that I paid after shipping and a insurance I had to buy in order for them to ship em. That I paid almost 150 more.

I have a diehard battery. Paid 299.99 for it. Thats what I had before my xs power battery. And I have it in my friends car and still works great.

Only time that my lights dimmed is when my alternator was about gone or I had a bad connection on the alt it self. Check all connections or take your car to a part shop. Ones by me do a free alt test. And thats with it on the car....

I have not seen to much of the level 2 and up dc's subs. I wish that there was a dealer near me for I can see them up close and possibly hear them..... Might have to make a trip out of state to one. Closest I know is in Indiana..... I am interested in the level 5's.

3/4 x 4 x 8 Oak Hardwood Plywood for now that is what I have. Think I might have to do 2 of them on top of each other. Easy to do. My 03 focus se has a carpet piece covering the floor of my trunk and spare tire. So I took that out since nothing held it down. And out lined it on the board. Then just sit it in there with out that carpet piece. And if you want to build your box in the car like some do. You have the base already in place.

If you can find them. Kenwood performance series 1,800watt amps. 2 ohm stable amps. What I run on just a single xs power battery that replaced my cars stock battery. And For a while off my stock 110amp alternator. 220amp now and nice...... Oh they are 299.99 a piece. I found mine on sale for 179.99 each. There new stuff I dont like. I got mine like 2 maybe 3 months ago. I put a board that is the shape of the carpet mat that is on the floor of my trunk over the spare tire rack. Helps from sliding. Nothing held mine down. Also makes it easier to bolt down the subs. And then since my speakers in the car are in the doors. under the back window where the arms for the trunk are. I bolted my 2 amps there. Up side down. Gotta get in the trunk a lil but it works. Or bolted to the back of your seats. Back of my seats are carpet covered metal. That is where I was going to put mine.

My current box has 2 ports. They are on the sides. My subs hit facing the rear of my trunk. The ports are about 4 maybe 5 inches round. And I have 1 1/2 inches on both sides between the side of my trunk. And Since I went with the second port on the side it got a little higher spl. But, then my friend has the same kicker dcvr subs and kenwood amps as me and he has the port between the subs from top to bottom of the box. His is the same distance from the rear of the trunk and does not hit as hard of me. Best bet is to if ya like your current box and have access to spl testing. Play around with it.

A few I play are Bohagon-Fuck you and Three 6 mafia late night tip. I have a bass folder in my ride. But, You can ask for some hard hitting songs. And some you will play will not hit as hard as they do in other systems. I just got a lil list from people and went and found my own songs.

So far I have just looked at part stores. Napa seemed to be the only ones that knew what I was talking about. But, from what I see. I will have to find one on-line and order it. Un-less there is a store that could have them or order it... I was told if I could find at-least a 150amp I should be fine. Since as of right now I am only going to have 2 kenwood performance series 1,800 watts amps. Think thay say at 2 ohm that I am running 800 or 900 rms.

I have a 2003 Ford Focus se. 4cyl sohc 122 cid. I need to put a second alternator in. But I am tight on room. Is there a way to still put one on? It comes stock with a 110amp alternator. Is there a way to get a bigger amp alternator that will still work on my car? Any suggestions on what I could do???? I put my second kenwood performance series 1,800 watt amp in and when I get bumping I can feel my car loose power. It is like the engine is loosing power. Then when the bumping stops it goes smooth. I have a 10 farad capacitor. 0 gauge kicker wiring kit. Any suggestions to how to set up the power I need to handle it.....

I am going to go after the police dept. It happens way to much to people. And it is wrong. Waiting on my friend to come over. He is a state cop and his dad was a state cop. So they are going to help me with it. Plus his dad is my Lawyer.

Did you sand down where the ground is? Could be some paint or something there making it not a solid connection ground. I had just a lil bit of paint and thought it would be fine. But mine would turn on but thats it. After going over everything I was told that and it was the problem.

And the ticket is for assault and battery. And I can not make out the other one. Sloppy writing by the cop. Guess using zip ties to hold someone down that broke into your car and you want to see them pay for it is wrong. Man that is so wrong. What the hell you supposed to do let em take your stuff. Ok. So I am a small built guy. But, I can put up a fight. So, I am inside watching movies with my daughter. Single father life I love. And I just thought that it was the wind. Cause it is really raining and the wind is whipping. But, then my key pad for my viper alarm flashed and went off and then I hear my car going off. So I ran outside and the guy was still trying to take my radio with no face plate out of my dash. I have it in there pretty good. So I grabbed the guy by his hair and through him out of my car. After a lil fight. The guy was not trying to get away. So, I finally got him to the ground and I still had zip ties in my pocket. So, I zip tied his hands behind him and held it till the cops showed up. Now I am the one getting a ticket. And he got away. How is this right? He broke into my car. And was trying to steal my stuff. But, since I protected myself/property im in trouble? What do you all that read this think of this? I know I am fighting this ticket. My neighbor and I think that it is the same guy that has been breaking into other cars in the neighborhood.

When mine did that was when I had a 4 gauge wiring kit with 2 kenwood performance series 1,800 watt amps. I Went to a 0 gauge wiring kit and it stopped. And it only did it when I was hitting hard. But, when I was just cruising and had it on low it was fine. If you already 0 gauge then idk. Bad wire maybe??

I was married for all of a month. I am glad that made her sign a prenup. She tried for months to find a way to take everything. I won and got full custody of my daughter. I have a bank account that she did not know about. And when she brought it up in court there was no proof. I had it put in my dads name and direct deposit. For they can not find out. But, good advice.
