    In for numbers for sure. Glad you are ok. I always have a heart attack when I short something out/ reconnect something and see sparks. Most recent I was taking the + clamp off of my hookup in the front of my car, I wasn't paying attention and dragged it too close to the transmission computer and BZZZZZZZZ. Thankfully it didn't ruin the computer and only took a small chunk out of the clamp, nothing too costly. Personally I'd keep the ring like that. Always a good story piece and it adds character to the ring. Then again I don't have any rings close to that value lol.

    Had a dream that there 12" SMD subs with the same motor structure as the v1s. I snagged 4 of em for $450, and ran them in my car on a 2200. So pissed when I woke up lol

    Yes you can. Are you using the Aux input on your HU or something else like bluetooth or the usb cable? I know with ipods, they get really dirty at max volume through the Aux port. I always turned it down to 3/4 volume and tuned it from there, and also kept my music at 3/4

    DD-1 your speaker wires coming out from HU. I bet they distort quicker than the preouts.

    That's exactly what I thought...why didn't it go into protect before blowing the outputs? The good thing here is the mfg will take this video and hopefully make the amps better. Here's proof I'm not paid by the mfg's to test amps and hide any bad results. This will be my last "new amp" video for a while. I'm going back to my old school roots, when amps were made here in the US with pride and craftsmanship! It would nice to see more of this now a days.

    My deck didn't rattle what so ever. It was stupid solid. I guess there really wasn't a need for me to deaden there. What kind of metal would you use to seal up the bigger holes? It would have to be pretty thick for it to be purposeful. I find MDF to work fine.

    I can't even remember what I did anymore lol. I used foam mainly in those 3 square holes you see that are right above the trunk opening.

    For those little pin holes, I just used gorilla tape. Even for the bigger sized holes. I just used deadner where ever I thought that it was needed on the deck. In your last picture you posted, if you just fill those holes with The Great stuff expanding foam, that'll do the job. Just make sure you don't over fill it so it doesn't expand up and onto the glass.
