  1. if you mean your subs cant pick up the low notes, then yea, try adjusting your gains. and just because you tune it at 32 doesnt mean its going to peak at 32 on the meter...
  2. here are a couple of tuning calculators... http://www.linearteam.dk/default.aspx?page...=ventcalculator http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 general rule of thumb is like 12"-15" of port area per cubic foot of box. longer port=lower tuning. shorter port=higher tuning. if you increase your port area your tuning freq. gets higher, if u decrease your port area, your tuning freq. gets lower. couldnt tell if you can find the cubic footage for your box or not, im sure u probably can, but just do l*w*d (internally and in inches) and divide by 1728 to get your cubic feet. dont forget that sub and port displacement is also gonna take up volume in your box...
  3. check it out... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/forums/in...hp?topic=2643.0
  4. just did an install in my friend's single cab dodge ram with a 12"Q. we did 2.5 cubes net tuned at 28hz....its in the member build section if ur interested. the Q sounds great from what i have heard of it so far...
  5. if your ground a positvie wire on the battery touched then there is a chance you could have shorted something out inside the amp...
  6. i dont even know what to say to u anymore meade...good stuff and craftmanship is all i know...
  7. im the same way...i swear i will be driving in a subdivision and see the massive pvc they used for drains under the driveways and just think what an awesomely huge port that would make. every car i walk by, especially suv's, i peek into the window to see if they got anything...im not happy unless im getting my hands dirty and spending money...lol and i didnt catch that 'how its made' sounds interesting though.
  8. LMAO...thats funny right there...i suppose if u do this long enough some goofy ass things are bound to happen
  9. god i love dogs...so sad when the die...sorry about her passing. my dog tore her acl about 6 months ago, it cost like $900 to fix...my pops says if she does it again then she is a goin to doggy heaven. she is so damn overweight that i just know she is gonna mess it up again...
  10. anyone can help...not just steve... anyways...i would say do some sort of bandpass and port thru the rear deck like u suggested. having acess to the spare tire may be the tricky part though. if u want box plans then pm ray or david...
  11. is that .35 for daily?? can that amp handle that?? :-X
  12. that is pretty close...11.875=11 7/8...so there is 1/8" of a difference, that aint gonna be noticable
  13. i wasnt being hard on ya...everyone is always learning, there is a hell of a lot more i wish i knew..
  14. Big 3: 1. battery negative to frame/engine block 2. alt. bracket bolt to frame/block (this is a ground, also) 3. alt. positive bolt to the postive terminal of the battery
  15. wire is wire is wire...aside from strand count and such all wire is the same more or less. doesnt matter what color the jacket on the wire is, its still the same inside. as long as u use about the same gauge for the remote wire then your fine. its gotta be: 1. power cable and fuses 2. bad ground 3. bad remote wire 4. bad amp/fuses in amp 5. low voltage (doesnt seem right in your case though) ...now start troubleshooting
  16. how i would figure it texas, by using my equation is that your effective length=physical + end correction. end correction = half of the port width...so your effective length=10+2....so 12" for your effective port length, even though it is only 10" long, it is effectively 12" because of the use of the box wall for a port wall, creating the need for end correction.
  17. this is like arguing about face time on t.v. or something...kinda silly...the regulars on here know knowledgeable people vs. nonknowledgable people regardless of post count...and the new members will eventually get the feel of things....it is really inevitable that some memebers will spam and others will actually contribute things...get over it
  18. u can do slot ports or use aeroports, i get mine from partsexpress.com...aeros are said to be more efficient when it comes to air flow and stuff
  19. u only paid 325 for that...thats a frickin STEAL...sounds kinda odd
  20. go over to the forum at www.termpro.com ...they have a section specifically for termlabs, they can probably help u out...
