    You definintly can run a test wire to the battery to see if the amp is working.

    I might have been useful to know that the amp was cutting out on you previously. Still could have been a ground issue though.

    You could do it that way but you'll have a lot less wire and work involved if you just run it to the frame.

    I prefer the bolt nut and washer but if you have a big enough self tapper with a star washer that should work too. After you get it connected spray it with paint or rust inhibitor to keep it from rusting.

    Still the same thing applies.If you have a truck why aren't you grounding it to the frame? So drill through the floorboard and directly connect to frame? Might as well do that. Yes and make sure you Sand off any rust and use a bolt to attach it.

    Just buy a pac-lc1 it will work with any amp and is better than a factory bass knob.

    You can't really underpower a driver, it'll move even with a few watts. The problems come when you don't think they are performing up to their potential and turn the gain up on the amp in an attempt to get more out of them.

    Most of the tow rating is related to suspension and rear gear which is easily changed if needed plus he has the ecoboost which is an exhaust and cai away from 100 extra hp.

I'd suggest at least ditching the capacitor and getting a nice agm battery for under the hood and doing the big 3 if it isn't done.
