I just ordered two sundown audio SA 15 d4 subs. I have a CT sounds 2500.1 that i plan on powering them with. I have a 2001 Oldsmobile alero 4 door, I took out my back seats and plan on puting a box back there since theres no room in the trunk. The amps are going in the trunk along with the battery. I have been doing research trying to find some box designs online but could only find 2 box designs that are slightly to big to fit. So if anybody could help me with a box design i would appreciate it alot. My max dimensions for my back seat are 26 height, 21 depth, 34 width . recommendations are 3-4 cubes 35hz. i would like the box to be on the smaller side but not to small maybe like 3.5 cubes to each sub or 3.2.

So, recently I was given a nice little gift and was told to spend it on whatever makes me happy. Well, bass makes me happy. I've always wanted a Sundown system that literally would just destroy my friend's ears... What I'm expecting to get from this build is a rediculous frequency range that can absolutely murder lows, and of course have decent sound in mids too! I am 19 years old and my most recent setup was 2, 12 inch P3's on 1150~ RMS in some gigantic overly high tuned box and it was, meh. With this build, I would really like for it to be my last build too. Even though I said that about my last one... Anyways! I resorted to this forum in hopes of meeting some new acquaintances who are more than willing to help me out here. With that said ^^ I'm looking for the best bang for my buck. I want the best possible setup in the $1500-$2000 range and I haven't been involved with car audio long enough to really know what to get, but I know I want Sundown. However, I am very open minded and if anyone feels the need to suggest other high quality brands be my guest, but provide facts. What I need: 1-2 subs preferably. Amp. Possibly new wire? I have 4 gauge on like a DB Audio 100 something amp fuse. Wiring Kit. And as for the box, I'm going to go with custom, but I want to know what everyone here would like to suggest before I decide what box to get. btw, I drive a car with a huge trunk so space shouldnt be an issue.

I have never build a 4th order box and want to give it a shot. So any advice would be great. I have 2 Sundown zv4 15s D2 custom build for 2k rms each, wired to .5 ohm. I am wanting to do a C pillar build in my 97 4 door Blazer. This is currently on a BC3500 and later looking to get another one to push at 1 ohm a piece. My question is on the sealed side what would be the best sealed cubes. I was thinking of doing 4 cubes for both subs and 8 cubes ported and tuned to 40hz. Does this sound about right for 15s on both the sealed and ported? and is tuning it to 40hz good or should a do 45hz. I love the low lows. Thanks in advance. 97 S10 Blazer (4 Door) 4.3L 2 - Sundown Zv4 15s D2 custom built 2k rms each wired to .5ohm Crescendo BC3500.1 300 Amp Alt 3 - Group 31 AGM batteries

I'm redoing my subs in my Wagon from two X10's in a ported box to Eight X6.5sw's I want to run them in a 4th order has any one played with them in a 4th yet? I've heard them in ported & sealed box but yet to hear them in a 4th. If anyone has videos that would help! Theirs not very many videos on You-Tube on them that I have found! These pictures are with just 7 of them I have to get a eighth one. But they will replace the 10's hiding under the car. Thanks for any help on this topic!

This is what I have right now Most of these number where pulled from another Tahoe build to give me a base. Ok now I just messed around with the port length until I got the tuning I wanted (33-35). I don't really get how it is longer than the box? This my first box design and is a temp. box for me to use about a month or so. Sub will be powered by a Cresendo 2k at .5 or 2ohm depending on voltage gain All the way down, and I'm going to take it easy. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys anybody running this setup one sundown 3500d on two sundown z v.3 15"s... I'm curious to see how hard that amp will slam those subs. I no the 3500d is a beast but I talk to a guy who told me that those subs can handle way more even though there rated at 1500 watts rms.

Hello everyone I'm thinking bout selling my two sundown 3500s to get a sundown ns1. With this power , five kinetik hc2400s ,330 mechman alt, four runs of 0 gauge front to back, wat will give me more power, the two 3500s or one ns1. Subs will be four Z v3 15"s, 15.35 cubic ft enclosure , tuned to 33 hz.

Alright I'm new to smd but I been checking out this site for awhile. But anyways I have 2 sa 8s and I don't know how to tune the box? I have two aero 3" aero ports coming in the mail soon and sundown 1200.

Well, I currently have 4 sa-8's, all are d4. Moneys not exactly all the best right now, so I am trying to find a solution without busting the wallet too hard. (3-350) But right now I have a Hifonics BRZ1200 powering 2 of them at 1 ohm. The issue is going to be adding 2 more. Really didnt think it through very well, confused D2-s and D4s, figured on wiring (4) d4s to 1 ohm ( I know...) So with that amp, would it be possible to pick up another one and just run a new set of rca's and remote to power the other 2 all in one enclosure? I know the amp's cant be linked together, but I should be able to use the RCA out to the other amp correct? Sorry for being quite the newb at everything. Not something I do everyday. Prefer engines
