Duster Joe's 1976 Plymouth Duster Trunk Build Customer Joe M. Build Info: 1976 Plymouth Duster 2006 6.1L Hemi 1996 Borg Warner T56 (Viper) Trunk is 53 cu/ft space Complete car was done with three boxes of Damplifier Pro (90 sqft total). Trunk specially was completed using 8-10 sheets of Damplifier Pro. The trunk before any Damplifier Pro sound deadening. Installing the Damplifier Pro butyl sheets. Interior trunk walls only needed one full sheet of Damplifier Pro each to reduce sound to just a deep thump. After the Second Skin Damplifier Pro was installed. The Damplifier Pro dropped the sound of the fuel pump to nearly no sound at all. Here a picture showing the trunk sound deadening completed. It’s totaling covered the floor, wheel wells and one full sheet of Damplifier Pro on each inner quarter panel. The rear trunk panel was completely done as well.

Who does the World Famous West Coast Customs call when they have a big heat issue and need to quiet down a huge build? Yep, that's right, Team Second Skin!!! Team Second Skin had an amazing MLK weekend in the sunny and fun Burbank, CA working with the world famous West Coast Customs build team on a huge build for their upcoming new season on Velocity Channel. We are excited for the episode to air featuring our newest product line Mega'Block Hydrophobic Melamine Foam Heat Shield, along with the high quality staples like Damplifier Pro, Luxury Liner Pro, Damp Rope, and Speaker Tweakers. Got my 40 pounder of b-stock In today. I weighed it out of curiosity, it weighs in at 44lbs so I got even more for my money. There are 53 sheets, they are all about 20" x 12.5" some being a tiny bit bigger or smaller Mostly damplifier which is cool with me because I get more square footage. You can tell instantly when you get a piece of damp pro, it has a lot more weight to it. And of course the damp rope you guys hooked me up with was also in the box. Already got a couple ideas for experiments to test this stuff on. It is thicker than other butyl rope products I've had and is very sticky. Second Skin Ftw!!!!!!! -

Hey guys! We've been getting some inquiries about a product we used to carry called Firewall. Firewall is a ceramic coating similar to the Spectrum, but rather than block sound it blocks heat using microscopic glass spheres instead of dense materials. What do you guys think, sound like something you'd be interested in?

This is a product we've seen offered by a few different companies and we wanted to know your opinion. Science says it won't do much for sound insulation as all it can do is add mass to the metal, but maybe it can keep panels from rattling by holding them together, or some other application. Just wondering what those who have used it before have done with it, or what other uses you might be able to think of.
