Would you pay this much for midrange speakers?

Recommended Posts

They look sweet. At the risk of being called I dumb ass, I won't even divulge how much I spent on ebay chasing down all the old school mb quart stuff to put together my 8" component set, but in the end, my set up was so simple, and sounded like sooooooo much more.(jl 300/2, 250/1, 8W7, and Quart 8" components with QSD crossovers, and in a full size 93 Roadmaster wagon at that)

I would love to hear that set up. I had an old pair of 5.25" Quarts and 2 8" W3 (original W3) subs in an S-10 and I absolutely loved it.

going over rms = smaller box, under rms = bigger box...

Low voltage doesn't blow amps. That's a myth.

A router that does the sub holes makes rounded edges also?

I'll be spending 1600 on my 3way and the amp to run it (active) and that is going the cheap way the other way was 2600 but I can't really justify putting that much cash into a durango

You can get a nice mid-tweet combo for $300 with just raw speakers.
