fmedina
Does adding a thick plexi glass wall effect in any to the box? Could you build a plexi box and have the same benefits as one out of mdf?

C-Fizzy
If you wanna use plexi, you've got to buy thick plexi. Which gets expensive. MarioB
If you wanna use plexi, you've got to buy thick plexi. Which gets expensive. true the one piece of plexi on my box cost $100. so if you wanted to build a box out of plexi your looking at about $600 for plexi its self Quote 12- DC Audio m2Lvl3 12's1- Hertz HSK3 way2- DC5K's2- ZX350.42- Stinger SP1500D batteries in rear3- runs of 1/0ga. to the rearTeam DC Audiodcsoundlab.com Quality is all in how you take pictures I have plenty of projects that look WAY better on camera then in person crazy to fit so many in so little. chevyhoe08
MDF is perfect its cheap, easy to cut, easy to put together and its a solid material, a pixieglass box would have to be really thick to work, cutting it would be a PITA N putting it together would take forever to pre-drill and screw everything together would suck not to mention the price on pixie. just my 2cents. STEvil
Buy used hockey rink glass, polish it up then cut pieces out and glue them together in layers to make it thick. Relatively cheap, very tough. Only problem is you have to be careful when gluing or you will get air bubbles between the layers. Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
