Torres
i love you ray. take it how you want lol boomer i think he's saying that port area alone doesn't mean it'll play a certain way no matter how you put it. if you have a port that's 3" x 33" (1:11 ratio), it'll play a flatter bandwidth response than the same box, with the same port area but with dimensions more like 6" x 16.5" (1:3 ratio). the 1:3 ratio will have a peaky response. that i did not know. very useful information in this thread. i hope it gets stickied. ready for the next lesson

On BP, ported, both? I just went back and looked at my port as I never knew anything about ratios and mines a 1:2 but sounds fine across a good frequency range to me, and I do agree some music (I think it's the music) will sound quiet in the bass department but it otherwise has good output An Audio Technix 18" Strato on a Kicker KX120.2 My Youtube Bass Vids Updates When Possible... Ray
I try to keep it around 40 Thats where the majority of regular bass is at. Playing down to 30 is fine, but not alot of "radio style" tracks down there 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
