They just made it plug n play. Now that its hot out though I notice my mod not working as well. The alt turns itself down when its hot. lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/
pinoytat93
from looking at all the diagrams it looks like the white wire is your sense wire for your alt. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. i am not responsible for anything that you do to your vehicle. just trying to help out if people understand the chance there taking. it could be good results or could mess something up. i will be going today to get my diodes and maybe ill have it in also. gonna try and make an adjustable one to see how it works. ill report back later with my results Uploaded with ImageShack.us you think you can look up a 98 dodge ram 5.2l the alternator has a external regulator? im wondering what wire is the sense wire. not to sure if this has been done with dodge car since alot of them have a external regulator. thanks any help would be nice if i remember right that has a ecu controlled but there is a after market exsternal volt reg you can adjust it to where you want it thanks I know that mla makes one but its really expensive. mechman told me that they dont make one for my truck but they do make a voltage regulator with there alternator for 500 bucks way to much for me. just wanted to see if this diode thing would work for my truck. any other inputs will be greatly appropriated

chrishova
I have a rebuilt alt. to 220, I am looking for a volt meter, like a stinger, etc... I am waiting for my SMD to get here and still looking for enuf batts. for my SAZ3500D... This takes the guesswork out of the diode thing and I'm sure it does give you the increase they advertise. The volt drop does depend on the alt, load, and the battery bank you have to back it up, etc.... Pontiac Grand Prix GT400a Mean Machine alt. chrishova
I got it, plugged it in and got 14.9v for $22 in 30 seconds. Like I said, I don't have my amp in to check out the drop, I do need a batt. bank, (and still waiting on the SMD). But for the price, it's worth it! All you '97-'04 Grand Prix owners, check it out! http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=517&catid=107 Pontiac Grand Prix GT400a Mean Machine alt.
