C-Fizzy
You're most likely playing your subs too far below your tuning. Quote under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?

KeepItLow91
how come when i bump really low notes, i can smell my subs get really hot? I don't know much but my thoughts can't hurt. If you have a ported enclosure, it might be tuned high and stressing your subs on the low notes. Your subs might not be fully broke in. Your subs might not be rated to play notes that low on high volumes. The songs you're playing might be clipping or your gains might be set wrong. D-train-13k
you could be clipping or your subs could just be getting really hot. 1st rule of soundsystems Stinking = turn down! make sure your not sending clipped signals to your subs. but all subs will start to stink after a while no matter what. just remember when they do that you need to turn them down to avoid frying your coils Quote The IrishmanCheck out my build hereXL 4th order wall build logIn Progress:alpine cda HU4th order Bandpass2xl 15's1- ab 400.1 (gonna be two hopefully)4- Crescendo 8's2- xts crecendo supertweeters 2 sq super tweetsMb quart 4.125Mechman 270a alt1- xs D27003- xs XP3000 4- odessey pc1700seller feed back threadhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/136418-d-train-13k/
Sanitarium
you smell your subs when you play really low because of increased friction in the gap, be sure to put some of that patented "spl grease" onto the coil. Just spray it in through the air vent on the back. If you can't find any "spl grease" you should just use spray pam, works almost as good.
