to all those who have kids or had kids at a young age, i applaud you. seriously i do, ive seen a friend of mine having to raise 2 kids on her own for years. i may not know what its like, but i do know its not easy. far as my job goes, im usually the second on there. only person who is there is the manager when i get there. i usually zip through my duties, normally a good thing. but when ya needing hours, working fast not a good thing. yes i do, do a good job even tho i can do it quicker than some people. i always ask if they have more for me to do when im done with my usual stuff. id say half the time they say no and send me on my way. there is one place ive been tempted to go to for a job, its a car and home audio place down the road from my current job. they have only one istaller between two stores. i know the basics and all, but when it comes to amps, setting gains and what not i got no clue.

sorry that just made me laugh....yes not setting a car on fire is a great skill. so far my car has stayed flame free. but all ive done to it was install a new head unit and speakers. im sure i can do it, not sure how to go about learning with out acctually doin it. but maybe thats what i need to do.

go ask to apprentice...they might not pay you for a couple weeks or a month, but you'll be paid in skill. then, once you can do stuff on your own (figure out how to use a relay before you even walk in the door...trust me on this) they'll pay you in cash. it's on the job training...basically free labor for them to teach you and essentially free schooling for you...

give them a time frame...let them know what you know, and what you don't...be very honest about it. let them know your aptitude for it, and willingness to learn. tell them to give you 2 months working up to full time full pay in 2 week intervals...see what they say

Before you do that, you can surf here more and learn a lot and that would probably help your odds.

true true, think only i wont be able to learn here is how to set gains with out an 0-scope. probally cause its not possible to do it correctly. but in all honesty, the reason i joined was to learn more about this life style.

Man I wish I lived with my grandparents, I live with my inlaws right now cause like you I have fallen on hard times. It's very difficult at times but you have to swallow your pride and live with it. I pay the utility's here And I Still have a shitload of chores to do around the house along with helping raise my 3 boys who are all under the age of 4. Guess what, I have to get the groceries out of the car everytime the go shoping, it's called respect for the people who helping me. Of course they can do it themselves, but that's not the point. As far as another job goes, apply EVERYWHERE, and follow up numerous times at ALL places you apply. You probably haven't landed a job anywhere cause someone else is showing more interest after applying then you have. You will find a job somewhere eventually, just gotta keep at it. Good luck bro.

Wow getting a drink out of a car.. I still have to get up when my mom calls me and stop my GEARS OF WAR 3 game to go into her room walk down two sets of stairs and make her a drink with crushed ice 30% peach tea 70% normal tea... I am starting to have to make a certain dinner every week for everyone. Also she will lay on her couch and make me put the fucking blanket on her.... Cuz she is lazy and she has two blankets already on her.. Also she makes me and my sister clean our whole 3 story house up and down every two weeks including her room.. uh...Also She makes me get all the groceries and walking up and down sets of stairs is much more annoying I get nothing from my mom although i do cut my grass (about an acre and weed eat and blow off the concrete for 20$... All i can do is smile.. Except for when i come back and we lost the round

You cant change yourself overnight. One of the most powerful things to possess it the skill of talking to people. Talking to people means you get to meet more people. It begins to multiply after that. Poeple know people who know people.

Soon you will find someone who knows of a job you can possibly get.

I'm a bartender and one of my regulars owns his own plumbing business. i could always use extra money, so I asked him if he ever needed help/labor to call me on weekends...I told him I dont know that much about plumbing, but I'd bust my ass for him during the day amd do the same thing at night bartending to make money. It all depends how bad you want it.

You cant expect a perfect job to pop up out of nowhere, you have to work up to it.
