Jmoney2544 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 I was thinking on putting 2 15" HDC3's In my trunk facing the cabin, but after thinking for a bit, wouldn't it be really annoying to people who are sitting in the back seats with the seat going crazy and their backs 12" away from the sub? or is it not that different from subs facing the rear? MACnonsence6 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 depends in my car its like a very nice back massage but like stated above if its sealed up nicely you could build presure and fuck up ur subs like in my car the seats fold down seperatly so if i have on person in the back the other seat is always folded down I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

If you have a carful you probably wont be blasting it anyways. Ive also daily drove a driver side ported wall before thoguh too though. Robert8252 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 You won't fit two 15s. But there is nothing wrong with the seats up listening to it. The seats aren't sealed shut or anything. nCOMP1337 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 i know i dont have a very large trunk but i had 15s in mine, sounded good, however, you would prolly have a better chance of sounding louder with 12s and ported, wait are the 15s gonna be ported, mine were sealed cause i dont have the width of the trunk to fit 15s and ported enclosure however mine were facing the back, im not sure if it matters as much having sealed and facing front, my next build should be ported facing cabin sealed off though
tonedeaf Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Yeah but most trunks don't have the space for two ported 15s without building an unclothed in the spare tire hub. Make sure to measure several times before attempting it.
