yea but i heard DD's reconing time takes fuggin forever....but i still have my t-5 so i wouldnt be bumpless..thanks for the info AF

Not totally true. When I sent my sub in, it was during finals. There where other people that needed their subs stat, I was asked by them if I am a current competitor and told them no, and when they got around to it they did.

I ended up calling them a couple weeks later they said they been waiting on payment. They will not do any work until its paid for first. If I would of known that they been waiting on cash, I would of got it back right away. I payed them on a thursday and friday the same week my sub was on my way back home to me.

But I can usally wait for something great to arrive back to me, and if i get to hyper during the wait, Ill go spend a few hundred bucks on something else to occupy my enthousasim for a bit :)

Also was thinking what my midbass, midrange, and tweets will be.

Still got a bit of debating to do a little bit.

For my a pillers Im gonna run a 4 inch and a tweet.

Im looking at either 2 different sets. I kinda like the mid on the cheaper set tho, just because there is a logo on the cone.

or

For my door panels I am going to want to run 3ways.

This is what Im looking at.

and for "rear fill" Id really like to get these. Either the 5.25" or the 6" version which are the same price.

The rear fill components will be the last thing I buy tho, because I will need to have everything else done first to visulize a good spot for them, also the reason I dont know the size I want.

I may also see if I can just buy all the speakers seperatly since I will most likely not be using their crossovers. Im gonna stop by my friends shop since he can get morels and see what he can do price wise, I know woofersetc.com is overpriced on a lot of things.

Edit: I also got a hold of Dom from Iraggi alternator today, talked to him on the phone for a few, and am now getting a "300 max amp" amputator alternator (instead of the dominator) and the external voltage regulator. I should hopefully have this next week. :)

Sub goes out monday morning before work. It shall be to DD by wednesday I hope, and should have it back the following week.

I cant really start building until I get the sub back. My box has to be built inside my trunk or else it wont fit.

Box specs:

Crx box (sub up, port back).

Im shooting for around 6 cuibc feet before sub, port, and 45ed corners displacement, and hoping for around 5-5.25 cubed after displacement.

Tuned to 40hertz

With four 4 inch presision ports.

But Im not sure on the total displacement of all 4 ports, and how many cubic inchs of port I will have :(

I will be making my 45 degree corners of 4x4 wood, and will rip it down the middle dianglelly.

Im thinking of having to use L brackets to screw the box together. I will also titebond 3 all wooden joints, and then resin over the inside.

Because Im having to build the box inside my trunk, I noticed that I will have to build the bottom, sides and front of the box first. Then I will have to bolt the sub to the top double baffle and install the top of the box. After I get the top, bottom, front, and sides built I will have to install the rear of the box last connect all 4 coils to the 8 bolts on the back panel, screw in the 4 ports, and then screw the back panel to the box.

Here is a quick sketch up in paint (I tried to use google sketch but it seemed like to much work to learn how to use it).

The 4 red and 4 black dots are going to be the positivie/negitive bolts that I will be connecting my speaker wires up too.

What calculator program did you use to figure those?

Im in no hurry to get everything done, but my goal is to be ready by dropfest 08 :)

What calculator program did you use to figure those?

It would be the port calculator that presicion sound has on their site for their ports
