sundownz
Prototypes arrived today... working on doing full break-in to measure official specs. Honestly I am super happy with the prototypes -- I do plan to tool a magnet boot and put our logo on the cap but I don't think any other changes are needed at all. SD-2 12" Measured Mounting Depth = 5.25" SD-2 10" Measured Mounting Depth = 4.75" ----- Early price estimates -- MAP price (actual price paid from dealer) (SA cost for comparison) SA-10 v.1 : $185 SA-12 v.1 : $195 SD-2 10 : $150 SD-2 12 : $160 Pre-ordering would be something like : SD-2 10 : $115 SD-2 12 : $125 That would be shipped in the continental 48 states. Once I do some testing we'll have an ETA and a time when pre-ordering will begin. ----- * Quite a bit less depth than the SA series for depth restricted applications. ISO
WoW Jacob I like the looks of those, You got 2 thumbs up from me. PS good job on the mounting depth. I have weaker woofers that are much larger from front to back. Edited May 26, 2011 by ISO Quote Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one. sundownz
Little bit of testing while breaking it in for T/S measurements. Getting on it pretty hard here in the video. Nightshade
Damn Jake that is some serious abuse that little thing is taking. The throw is incredible for the type of woofer it is. Now let's see some spl test results! My guess is that they aren't more than a db and a half behind the sa's. iKidwell
With that preorder price I might consider picking up a couple 10s and seeing what I can do with them Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress

They should be close until really high power when these run out of x-mech and the SA has room to keep moving.
