Hey what's up guys? I saw this thread and figured it would be better to post here than start a new thread. Not tryin to hijack it though. I originally had 18ga speaker wire that came in a Q Power 4ga wiring kit rated for "1500w". It came with a 100A fuse which is close to the rated power but 18ga speaker wire rated for 1500w?

Any way I decided to take the 18ga wire out and replace it with 12ga wire. My amp is kinda small its 600W x 2Ohm x 2 channel. Its also pushing two Q Power 12" new deluxe subs. Was this a wise choice or was 18ga better?

P.S. I know its a small system but money has been tight and got the best that I could for the money

Thanks boss I appreciate it

But usually a thicker wire won't be a problem, you just don't want it too small. For future reference

Illl keep that tip in mind my man

It wouldn't change ohm load or anything like that would it?

Nope, just wire as you would normally :)

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.
