Yeah just likE drip solder on it to hold the strands together a little bit... Or just have more patience haha

drip solder onto it? so you will add to the outside of the wire and it really wont fit into the terminal.

unless there is some sort of super thin copper foil i could wrap around the end? does such a beast exist?

I have the same thing though with my 4awg, what I did is get it in the input, screw it down then unscrew it. Pull it off and any wires thay strayed out I clip off, then put it back on and its good.

Ive used the reducers before...cool little pieces, plus the look pretty clean too. Also you most likely wont notice any difference in loudness loss unless your a hardcore db dragger searching for every tenth...and if you were you would not be asking this question in the first place

Another thing I can think of, is get a ring terminal that would fit on your wire input maybe? never seen or heard of anything who did that but I am guessing it should work just fine since people use them to connect to their batteries.

If you dont have any thin scrap wire try wrapping it a couple times with some thin solder (.032) if you have some. I actually installed some knukonceptz 1/0 today, without this little trick 5145 strands would be a nightmare, but it was a piece of cake. :)

hhaha dude i so remember the thread you quoted in your sig. i know we all start somewhere, but if you had enough knowledge to know how to hook 2 12's directly to an HU, then i'd think you'd have to have enough knowledge to know not to do it.
