I've read that if you use silicon in your box and you don't let it completely cure before you install the subs that it can cause this? It also says that some subs were built to resist the chemicals that are produced from the silicon curing ? Could that be the problem here?

Man, that blows, pun intended lol. He's been having so many problems with those though. I woulda been hitting up soundstream with many choice words by now. At that cost and only running them at partial power, there's no reason they should have to be Frankenstein'd to keep working. If soundstream did what I've heard and used too little of cheap glue, then they should be offering a recall so they can make this shit right.

Guys forget the warranty... "XXX's (any one of that line) do not break, PERIOD, they do not have flaws." That is a direct quote from them to me when my brand new amp smoked. They are one company that I for one would never in a million years buy from again. Absolutely HORRIBLE CS... Hell I had to get Grizz on the phone to even get one of their damn CS people on the phone, it was ridiculous.

Also SS has some of the cheapest team gear around. EXO should have had Griz's ass on the phone last year for either recones or new subs. I don't know what his actual pricing is, but I'm sure he is on a tier with pricing that would make most of us sick.

If at first you do not succeed, you are doing it wrong! -ARS

Yeah too many problems with them xxx. Must really suck, all that time and money into that beautiful and awesome looking system only to have to doctor the drivers up just as often as you play them. But I thought he was getting new subs, like called the x3 or something?
