D-train-13k
hey guys. i know that there are better batteries than the optima yellow tops. but i had a dead cell in my front batt and i didnt wanna ruin my xs battery in the rear. so i bought a yellow top. im just wondering how do they fare in the car audio category. i know they're supposed to work well but i just wanted some info from people whove used/experimented with them. thanks in advance Quote The IrishmanCheck out my build hereXL 4th order wall build logIn Progress:alpine cda HU4th order Bandpass2xl 15's1- ab 400.1 (gonna be two hopefully)4- Crescendo 8's2- xts crecendo supertweeters 2 sq super tweetsMb quart 4.125Mechman 270a alt1- xs D27003- xs XP3000 4- odessey pc1700seller feed back threadhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/136418-d-train-13k/

I have one under the hood now. I also have one in my Jeep dedicated to the winch. They are generally hated on for their price... And if you find them for a good price, they are a excellent battery. optical
Optima is a pretty respectable company. The red top is a beast starting batt, I have 1 car that sits all winter outside getting up to -40 or so in minnesota and without touching for long periods of time i can walk right over and start that sucker right up even in the coldest of cold. With that walmart supershit battery had a hard time starting it after 3 weeks and -10 degrees. thats my experience
dolarbilz
I never had problem with a yellow top..sometimes wonder if I should just run all yellow top
jmilch
Like N8 said, they just arent the fad currently. Really price was the only concern for most people a few years ago. But a $200 AGM high capacity battery now is the norm. Some people only use Optimas and swear by the yellow tops.
