should be pretty simple. politic. Facebook your friends myspace twitter other forums. youtube. just gotta get the word out. Its one thing that social networking is good at and it looks like he's got a good following.

Or make a thread on other boards promising to give away the prize to someone who votes for you. Lol

^^^^ When I saw someone saying if I win and you voted for me your name goes in a hat for the gear I thought to myself dang I would think that person would get the most votes. Strategies get crazy sometimes when you're talking about free car stereo stuff LOL. I would really hate to see Monte not win. A TON of people learned a lot of new things from watching his build log. Ill say this. Getting users to vote for you is one thing. if the votes are coming from one computer theres gonna be a problem. I will know. Chode will know. so if you are doing that or thinking of doing that I would have those votes removed before the end of the contest because we do verify it every month.

also not saying anyone is doing that. Ive looked at most of the votes and so far everything is on the up and up.

I think this months SOTM is a real game changer. Things are happening in the open for everyone to see that are not normally accepted as okay.

We all appreciate what goes into running this and all that the mods do to keep it going. I can't help be feel this aspect of the rules is being overlooked and not being addressed.

Heres the basics.

Ok, here's the rules....

8.) If we see multiple IP address that will be used to "sway" votes, the accounts will be deleted and you will be pulled from the running. We want members to promote SOTM...hit up other forums and promote say "hey we have

this competition going on check it out" but having family/friends just sign up to vote for you and leave will no longer slide.

actually everything is within the rules and on the up and up. remember the sotm is partially to help attract new users to the site. Be it by competing in SOTM or by voting in SOTM. hopefully those individuals who are creating accounts will stick around and be productive members. All votes for members in the money so to speak will be verified at hte end of the contest.
