I am going to be building a wall in my truck and will be installing a 12x24 plexiglass window in each side of the wall. I have found a site that has what i want but they have 2 different types, extruded and cast. The Extruded I can get in a thickness of up to 3/4", but the Cast I can get in 1" which I really want. What is the difference and which would be better for my application? P4killer_ Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 I have not the slightest clue, but the casthas links for building a fish tank which needs to be airtight and water tight. the extruding process doesnt make sence for panels imo. extruding is for particular forms ie:. rods, bits shapes kinda thing and there are rod links on the extruding page. Cast would be my bet, but wait for someone else to chime in before you go with it. or simply give them a ring, explain what you need and im sure they can get you sorted. If you dont mind finding out I would really appreciate it. So far from the site I posted I am looking at $140 plus shipping for a 12x48 sheet of 1".
