hdorre
If Nick is suggesting 33hz, I'd tune it to 33hz. IJS... This is exactly what I'm thinking... no "ifs," "ands," or "buts." shogen
i guess i should have been more specific haha, go with 2 lower level 12s, camrys are hard to get loud so i think the more surface area you have the better, and you dont have to run rated power to a sub just because its rated for it..... mmm.... no?? I have one 15" Xcon sealed off 500w and I'm not feeling like it is quiet... at all... No alarms have been set off but I annoy people if I try to... Shigshwa
Note that I haven't added bracing into the model. I don't think bracing placement has much of an effect on the sound, but yeah, everything seems ok.
Supercharged DCs
Needs more port area, general rule of thumb is 12-16sqin per cube. After you factor in more port area, along with a longer port to get the desired tuning, your box won't be 4cubes net. Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.
Cashdollar2009
30... Hmm, what's the minimum gap space that I should leave between the port and the back wall? At least half the width of the port. 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier Two 12" DC Audio XL M2'sCrescendo Audio BC5500d Current Scores: 150+ out the Trunk On 6/30/2011 at 1:11 AM, 'Ray' said: Acoustical energy is free. Shigshwa
More port area... I'm only a few sq inches away from the bare minimum then... and I've already gotten my box started, dammit. Is port noise the only effect of a small port area?
