2 Kicker solo x 18 box build (Tunning)

Recommended Posts

Box size all depends on what room you have availible and how much Cu ft you need, most people will say either 32 or 35 Hz tunings. 32 gets lower than 35, if you want something really good make a 4th order bandpass, even better make a T-line.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

Go for a regular ported box.

Around 1200cm^2 ort, around 50cm length

approximate volume (including woofer displacement, port displacement) = 450-550L.

Will be tuned in the 32-34hz area.

Will rock the shit out of most stuff.

Now: I hope u didnt just get these woofers with less than +5kw power? and less than 5 batteries or HO alternator? Otherwise you are fucked.

i would not put a solo x in a t-line

I agree. Terrible choice for a T-line IMO. They work VERY well in large ported boxes. I've had good luck in 8-9 ft^3 net, 34-35hz on a single one. DudeWith4x4 is doing 145's at 32hz on less than 1000 watts clamped with almost 9 cubes, 35hz, 13in^2 port per cube.
