XL 18" gets stinky...

ray ill PM you with specs on my current box and if ya can let me know the F3 and Fb, and ill most likly get a design from you. im possibly switching to a T2500BDCP running @ 2 ohms for the XL, so ill have to rebuild my amp rack and what not

Playing below tuning does cause heat. lol

Source signal is extremely important when playing with high powered daily apps. Many and I mean many chopped and screwed,downloads from free sites etc... have extremely poor playback and are clipped all to hell. If your source is clipped the rest is done for.

Below the f3 point is bad mmmmkay

Not saying running at .5 is great but playing the lowzzz is prob doing more damage.

Just make a box with a low f3 point and your golden

How do you find the F3 Point of a box ray? i got my XL realll stinky the other day playin a low ass song, atleast below tuning witch is(i think) around 32, like stunk the whole tahoe out lol.

im runnin a T2500BDCP @ 2 0hms on it now.

Pretty sure f3 of xl 18 is 32hz so you were playing below it.

HIGHS AMPS:zapco 750.2 on front doors,zapco an another 750.2 on kicks and rear doors

SUBS:4-ascendant audio 18s with 5 spiders in a custom box built by KINGSUV

SUB AMP: 2-dc7.5s

ALTERNATORS: 3-mechmans 1- 425comp, 1-smd spec350, 1-270 with adj voltage harness on custom dc bracket

WIRE:10-runs 0g front to back

BATTERIES:6-d1400s

TL results:157.1 at 38hz and 156.8 at headrest score @37hz. STATE AND NATIONAL RECORD IN MECA S5.
