DudeWith4x4
Okay guys so I'm planning a rebuild for this winter or sooner whenever I can gather all the parts. I was wanting some opinions on my choices on equipment for rebuild. I will hopefully be able to start ordering when I can sell my SoloX18. Equipment: Subwoofers: 3 Sundown Audio SA15s Subwoofer Amp: 1 Cresendo BC3500.1 Doorspeakers: 3 Image Dynamics CTX-6.5 componet sets Doorspeaker amp: Kicker ZX350.4 Battery(s): Deka Intimadators High Output Alt: DC power or Mechman? Wiring: Kicker 1/0 hyperflex wire. 2 runs pos and 2 runs neg. Box will hopefully below the window line I hope to be hitting 50s after this. What do you guys think? -Ross Project Layla Truck: 99' F-150 Gathering things for my next build. BJD3
What do I think? I think you need to start buying stuff. You'll likely need more power in your doors. IDK how the 350.4 will like running under 2 ohm. Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive. 2002 Buick Park Avenue DC Level 4 M2 12 D2 Car Audio Bargain 1600.1 Eclipse CD3200 ~2 cubes @ 34 hz. IDK how the 350.4 will like running under 2 ohm. Umm, it's a four channel amp, he has three component sets, I don't think he would be under 2 ohms, would he? Being that there are two sides to a car, I doubt he will put one component set in each door and then only one in the back. Which leads me to believe its going to be three sets in each of the front doors. That said how do you expect this to get wired? Remember, this is three SETS. So a total of six channels would be needed if each one would get its own channel. The only logical conclusion I can develop is that the amp is going to be bridged, or two channels will remain unused. Either way, he comes up with an ohm load (if my math is correct) of 12 ohms or 1.3 ohms. Edited for readablity. I guess he could run two on each channel, but then you would either have mixed L/R, or a couple sets would be receiving less power than another.
