The savings in gas cost from driving around with Birch instead of MDF could be worth it if you plan on having it for a while... It's cabinet grade on both sides. you can find the Birch/Maple ply a tad cheaper at around 44.00 a sheet. PUNKYOU007 Posted October 6, 2011 Report Share Posted October 6, 2011 I recently seen a ton of trucks that were built with nothing more than cheap CDX grade plywood....all I can say is for a big multilayer build like a wall...i don't buy[ the hype that MDF or Birch are the only two options. By the time you layer up the cheap stuff your strong enough for anything. ON a small reg box i will still stick to MDF or Birch though.
