Some of you know of me and my setup. I run 4 xl 18s on 2 dd m4s strapped at .7 so about 10 to 12k @14v.rising from .35 a amp to 1 ohm. Well I'm stepping up to lvl 5s in same box. Should I get 1.4 coils and run 2 dc 5ks strapped @.7 for around same power. Or dc 12k at .35 per channel. Or d.7 coils and run 1 dc 9k @ .35 with th option to add another later.what do you think would do the most power and why. Once again 2 5ks, 1 12k, or 1 9k

I know my opinion probably doesn't matter, but I'd like to see the 9k, if you do add another later on. A 9k per pair of Lv5s would slam lol...

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

You'll have issues with the 9K running that low... It doesn't like anything below .5 ohms... :drinks:

You think boiler? I've seen a few guys burp them at .25 I'm thinkn that if my dds do daily at .35 the 9k should I'm just trying to get the most powere out of it since my rise is .65 it would put me at 1ohm and close to 9k or more @14v

I would not waste the Level 5s on a single 9k or 12k. I have 1 12 running on 4 XL 18s in the mini van. I am running it at .5 ohm per channel and getting just over 3k per channel from it at 12v with rise to about 1.5 per channel. For it to be worth stepping up to the Level 5s I would look at running 1 5k per sub for 4 total or 2 9ks. I know the 5ks will run just fine at .35 nominal and I believe Blake(truelywickedcustoms) is running his 9ks pretty low. One thing to remember though, running under 1 ohm you are not covered under warranty if the amp goes up in smoke.

2 9K's on 4 - Level5 18's sounds like the best bet to me!

So are you selling the DD's and the XL's?
