jrouter76 Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 I have an Active setup that consist of SEAS Neo metal tweets and Image Dynamic OEM 6.5 Mids and they are a great combo for about150.00 dollars the metal tweets are not your ordinary metal tweets, they are clear,not bright or harsh but crystal clear even at high volume they can be x-over @ 2.5 khz which matches up nicely with the ID OEMs which also can be x-over @ 2.5 khz and I have a Zx 850.4 on them which is very good head room of 185 watts x 4 channels,get you an active HU that will do 3-way Low Mid and High Pass,I myself have a Alpine 9815. I tell you deaden the doors and you will have very nice Midbass and Midrange from the ID OEMs they match like a hand and glove with the SEAS.

From the installs that i have seen they were more impressive than the hertz or focal's and out right amazing altho i havnt heard the $7000 set of focals yet REP
Real96SS Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 I have run Infinity tweeters and also 6x9's before and I loved them.Loud and clear and handle a good amount of power without me frying them.Now Im getting ready to run the Alpine SPX17PRO's and I haven't heard any reviews from anybody on this thread or even heard of them.I do have one set in hand now that I hooked up to hear what it sounds like and all I can say is WOW.The infinity's were nice but these Alpines are killing them hands down. If modified positions, where are you proposing? What kind of power are you proposing? What quantity, make and model of amps? (This let's folks that know their ass from a hole in the ground know what type of filter options are readily available before they recommend which speaker is best
