update:6/2/12

i got my alt back from Mechman, only cost $69 shipped

needed new bearings and they replaced the diodes. i blew 2 of the 3.

but now i need to recone one of the subs. it is wired for .5 but reading at 2.2- 2.7....

but still under warranty

Update: 6/5/12

well I gotta send the alternator back to Mechman, the same day i put it in, i had to take it back out.

its not even charging the batts, im dropping to the low 12.9 range with the car running....

and now i got a half cooked coil, reading 2.7 ohms when wired at .5 at the amp....

its still under warranty but DC hasnt emailed me back....

Larry I can help you with your recone issue, but if you just blew the coil, that is not going to be covered under warranty. Warranty only covers manufactures defects. Send me a PM with what happened and I will let you know your options.
