I'm pretty damn good with math, I'm building a box 31x13.5x20.5 with a slot port of 13.5x4x23.5 and sub displacement of .28 total. Torres put my box at 3.59 net tuned to 37.xx. And yes I did put in the outer dimensions for the box as Torres ask for, 32.5x15x22 with 3/4 MDF, last time I checked my box comes out to be 4.96 gross and 3.98 after displacement. Either Torres is wrong or I am??

also depends if you put the port walls in correctly, depending on where the port is could add or subtract some from the volume.

Torres is correct, there is a reason it is pinned and many people use and recommend it.

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

your first post is just a mess with all the numbers, your building a box thats "31x13.5x20.5" yet your putting in "32.5x15x22" ???

just throw these numbers in:

h=15

w=32.5

d=21

port:

h=13.5

w=3.5

l=18

misc:

displacment = .28

common port walls = 3

specs:

3.75 NET

12.60" of port per cube

36.54hz tuning

i'd recommend a 21" port for 35hz tuning though, but thats what ive always tuned my trunk boxes to and always saw great results.

Torres ask for the outer dimension, not the inside, that's why it ask for the thickness of the wood .75" so that it can deduct that from the outer dimensions.

yes i know that, i get it now you were using your own math, which is where inner dimensions came from

use the numbers i gave you, it'll work great with the SA12s...

I'll give a try thanks, just trying to get all I can out of it, I clamped my amp today and something is wrong, I'm assuming it's the box, my lowest ohm was at 30hz at 54 volts and came out to be 2.98ohms when the subs are wired at one on a crescendo 2000, I'll try yours and hopefully that'll work better for me otherwise it's back to the drawing board lol
